I see you noticed, as I did, that the first female isn’t listed until number 21. I agree with you that this can be a useful tool for gauging the degree of gender inequality in T-Nation as a whole.

So there are more men who hang out here than women.

The list would be much more useful if it were in alphabetical order and searchable.

A few observations.

It sure does psychologically seem like there are a whole lot more members than this, but I can’t think of anybody offhand that isn’t there and I’m inclined to think he didn’t miss very many though there’s no way to really know right now. Weird.

Assuming it isn’t too many more than this then it’s a very small fraction of the overall T-Nation membership.

Common mistake so don’t take me as nit picking, but my handle is T I R I B U L U S, 4 syllables, not tribulus like the supplement.
Your observations are right as the list is not yet finished. The fact that i am around half way through the threads tells me that you are probably right about there being near to three times more.

Apparently you have not grasped the amount of work that went into just compiling this many names or you are being facetious.

Not to wade into the whole gender debate but…

The list is not in the order of the first thread ever, so there is no relationship between where the first women is ranked and when she was actually invited. For the same reason this is why OTEP is not earlier on the list, and also others like Prof X.

About alphabetising it…i will send you the list when its finished

waves arms HELLOOOOOOOO!!!

ya he missed a couple names there but still I didnt realise we had 176 people already in there.

I was thinking several times that.
really?
I didnt even think that many.
Iwould hope not that many anyways
if there is 200 and something people with the same dozen or so posting that does show a major flaw then.

Werd.

Come on, ironman. This is one piss poor job you’ve done here! Unless there is an alphabetized list in this thread by COB today, you can find another job, Mister!

Um, I was just joking. I thought about doing the (kidding) thing, but I thought it would be obvious. Sorry, my bad.

If you want to search the list for a specific name, then go to the first pace of this thread, where the list is and the press ctrl + f …this will give you a little search box where you just type the username of the person that you are looking for.
As for alphabetising…Noooooooooooooooo ! ! !

I’m in it, just FYI

This is worse than the time I seperated my underwear drawer by color…I was amazed by the number of browns and yellows.

What made you think randomly making a list of internet forum members was a good idea?

Since you numbered it, you have to use the split columns feature to separate the names and numbers into different columns. Then you just sort.

Another thing you might want to do is copy and paste every name you see into a row. You can then click remove duplicates.

Also, you can have Excel add the numbers automatically.
