Have been self prescribed for past year with no real issues. Feel good. I’ve managed to get into a specialist with a possibility of getting prescribed and under a doctors care, all the benefits of that, don’t have to pay, pharmaceutical grade etc.
Question. How long should I stop before I see him. Hevwill want to see natural levels. I will be honest with what I have been doing however may exaggerate the time I’ve been off. My natural level was 400 which may be an issue.
What T ester are you using? If cypionate/enanthate stop wait 3 weeks, get bloods drawn and you will be bottoming out. If prop, wait a week.
This is a little bit of a tough one. Stop now, and your FSH and LH will still be low, so your testosterone level will not be “natural”. However, he may want those labs in your chart so he can justify TRT, especially if you’re looking for insurance coverage. On the other hand, he may be willing to just pick up your care from where you are, especially since you report doing well. I do think being up front about what you have been doing is the right call. If he is a TRT doc, he’ll figure that out anyway. Good luck. Many report doing better when switching from black market to prescribed TRT.
Sorry should clarify. On cypionate. Appointment isn’t until May ( Canada…). So I don’t want to come off to early and feel like shit. But also don’t want to bs. If I come off 3 weeks prior LH will still be non existent and he will know I aren’t been off long enough.
I’ve never seen anyone prescribed TRT with these numbers let alone in Canada with near midrange FT levels. This is usually when men are forced to seek private care and pay out of pocket because sick care doesn’t optimal hormones.
I would be very surprised if you actually were approved for TRT and have a third party pay for life long treatment. It’s going to take several weeks for your natural testosterone to reboot, before this happens T will reach zero and you will be stuck in this state for days or weeks.
It took my HPTA exactly 4.5 weeks to reboot my natural testosterone after stopping TRT.
Interesting. Your levels were pretty low both on and off TRT, correct? What was FSH and LH and how long were you on TRT when you stopped?
Yes my natural levels were 225 ng/dL originally on the first round of testing, the second set of labs had me at 120 ng/dL. On TRT I feel great long before I get to 400 ng/dL which puts my FT at 15 pg/mL. When on a 7mg daily protocol within a 12 hours of the first injection, I feel loads of energy, sociability, mental clarity and thrive from this moment on.
I feel the effects of the injection within the first minute, erections are improving within 48 hours. I’m told that I must have very short CAG receptor repeat lengths, this is the only way someone could respond so quickly to androgens.
Three days ago LH was 3.4, TT 91 and FT 2.6 ng/dL. FSH was 4.6.
Labs would be covered either way in Canada, if the doctor orders them. It’s not like American health insurance. The end user pays for his prescriptions either way too, until he’s 65. He just pays the controlled Canadian price, which is lower than the US price. It really is going to depend on the doctor and his judgement, there is no industrial machine complex to answer to. Labs happen either way, no one will raise an eyebrow. The only question is if this doc will prescribe or not.
Correct. This doc is quite bullish on trt. So hoping at levels between 3-400 he will prescribe. He’s also big on past concussions and shift work being a predicator of low t which bot has apply in my case
Good, you’ll probably be taken care of then.
