If you know somebody with Swine flu you know what they need? Offer them some OINKMENT. LOL im on fire
Get the facts on Swine Flu:
What is the cure? Is it curable? Is it 100% fatal? (Yes, I know people have died).
Read the link I posted. More people have died from the vaccine than the actual flu.
In fact, more people have died from the regular every day flu than the swine flu.
I think i have swine flu,Im after breaking out in rashers !!

That is a misleading statement, Nate. You should know better.
Do you mean that more people have died from the regular flu in the SAME TIMEFRAME as the outbreak of the swine flu (read: from the day of the first major case reported in the news until today) ? I find that hard to believe.
Or are you trying to say that more people die every year from the regular flu than people have tied from the swine flu (which, by my count, has not been around “for a year” to make the comparison valid) ?

My apologies for not clarifying. Also, I should have said Malaria (not the regular flu). More people (3,000) die from Malaria each day.
Also, when the Swine Flu was first discovered, more people died from the vaccine than the actual flu.
It’s all in the report.
Swine flu is the new Y2K
This is an H1N1 class flu. By nature it will be less deadly than H5N1 bird flu based on how they each infect humans. H1N1 variants from what I have read are not as deadly to us anymore because they typically trigger a strong immune response.
The concern is high because until the virus is fully investigated they will not know what kind of genetic material it carried over from swine that may allow for deadly mutations and it has already proven to be transmitable between humans, apparently with as much ease as more common flu strains.
Initial tests seem to indicate a mild strain as far as lethality is concerned… this wont really be a certainty until a few months down the road after more testing.
Go to bbcnews.com they have a lot of really clear articals on what is happening alert level 5 is more about awarness than fear mongering. Most people have recovered well from this flu strain.
I talked to one of my friends at school going for Health and public relations, and she said that its really nothing to worry about. At most you will be sick for about a week and then get better.
Were at the end of flu season right now and it will probably die out quick cause everyone is going to be out and about for the summer and not being in so overly crowded places.
She did have concern that it could come back after the summer and be even worse.
All in all I dont think anyone should really be that concerned enless your elderly or a young baby
