This will be my first cycle, I plan to use 500mg a week. Should I inject once a week with 500mg, or twice a week with 250mg.

Neither.
Shoot it at least 3x/week, or EOD (every other day), or ED (every day), blends like that should be treated as their faster ester and then long one’s just add a tapering up and down effect. Personally I don’t like blends, but they work just fine.
