Surge Protocol

I’m finally going to try Surge since I’m going I’m going to be working out more regular. I’ve read that it’s best to drink 1/2 during your workout and slam the rest after.

Well my question is what if you can only drink the whole thing at once instead of during your workout? Is the benefits still going to be there? Plus it’s cool to slam a whey shake with Surge as well (basically P-C meal) then followed by another P-C meal.

There are really no hard and fast rules. Some say there are, but really the point is just to use it. I typically just take the full amount (2 scoops for me) right after I work out. I hate drinking anything but water while I’m working out. 100% of the benefits are still there regardless of what others say. Surge is a recovery drink, not an energy drink.

Also- there is whey already in Surge. I wouldn’t drink another shake at the same time. You might blunt or mute the effects. Surge’s ratio is set up a certain way for a reason. Just take the Surge and follow up with a decent meal about 45-60 minutes later.

I agree with this assessment completely. Surge has the correct ratios of ingredients to kick start recovery. By mixing or adding anything or as addressed in a thread yesterday taking slow sips over an extended time you could be blunting it’s effect and what is was designed for.

Some that are on bulking cycles and don’t mind some added cals will use it pre or during workout in addition to post workout, but for most post workout is ideal.
