Suprise! It's October, Biden is Corrupt

Then if Joe wasn’t involved, then it is just Hunter selling his last name. I think we have enough to conclude that he was selling his name.

A personal belief of mine is that everyone acts out of self interest. We can be good people out of self interest or bad people. I don’t think every decision comes down to “would this help me”, but ultimately we do things because we want to. We might help a homeless person because we feel better about ourselves afterwards, or that we pity them and no longer want to feel pity.

I think there are a few “good” ones out there. They aren’t looking to take, but to serve and do what they think is needed. Again, I think this is out of self interest.

Debate Commission has taken foreign policy out of the debate… haha this is total bullshit.

New York Post still banned from Twitter despite their policy change…

You could be right. But the red flags around this thing are very real. Again I will add that it’s very possible the whole thing is true. But when even Fox is wondering…

But according to two sources familiar with the matter, the lack of authentication of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop, combined with established concerns about Giuliani as a reliable source and his desire for unvetted publication, led the network’s news division to pass. Fox News declined to comment on this story.

Some of Fox News’ top news anchors and reporters have distanced themselves from the story. During an on-air report that largely focused on how social media platforms handled this story, Bret Baier said, “Let’s say, just not sugarcoat it. The whole thing is sketchy.”

“You couldn’t write this script in 19 days from an election, but we are digging into where this computer is and the emails and the authenticity of it,” he added.

Chris Wallace also called the story “sketchy” and said, “I can understand the concern about this story. It is completely unverified and frankly, Rudy Giuliani is not the most reliable source anymore. I hate to say that, but it’s just true.”

According to a leaked memo obtained by The Daily Beast earlier this year, the research department at Fox News had previously described Giuliani as “amplifying disinformation” surrounding the Ukraine corruption story that lay at the heart of the impeachment of President Trump earlier this year.

Wait…what? One thing that is actually related to duties of the President is out of the debate? I guess more time needs devoted to the President’s response to The Rona-not that there was much a President could actually do, but why wasn’t he wearing a mask that time?

They are also muting microphone of the other person for two minutes after a question is asked. lol

If you’ve seen a Trump debate this is almost a must. He pretty much exclusively talks while someone is trying to answer a question. But this actually isn’t a win for team Biden as it makes Trump look bad. Trump will probably get press for looking more presidential when in reality it’s just because they had to stop his mic in order to have an actual debate.

Chris Wallace is wishing this was done earlier.

Okay let’s accept this but if we’re going to look at debates, see what we think is effective strategy for one debater then change rules on the fly, is that really how we want things playing out? Can’t see an issue there…

No. Mute should always be part of it. It’s absurd to have a debate if it’s one person constantly talking over the other one. This is going to help Trump but it should be a rule moving forward anyways. No point in giving someone two minutes to answer a question if you’re going to let the other person interrupt them every 5 seconds.

I just don’t think this was an issue in previous years because well most of those people were adults. Gotta treat kids a bit differently. Trying to get Trump to let someone else speak is borderline impossible.

They have changed their tune.

As for Wallace-I feel bad for him and any other journalist right now that might be trying to maintain any integrity or appearance of it.

The way some of these stories have blown up, blown over, or backfired in their face, I would be Very careful about what to run with and what to take a pass on.

What was it they called the day after the election in 2016? Bloody Wednesday or something?

I’ll get you one… if you jump off.

God forbid that we have a debate between potential leaders if the free world on how they see our relationships with allies and adversaries.

Then again we knew after the first “debate” we weren’t going to get anything approaching a serious discussion…

Long, LONG overdue. At least this shows some sense.

They’ve been discussing the possibility of microphone mute for several elections now, so it’s hardly in the fly. I think they finally just committed (I hope)

An actual debate - as in, not a political circus - always has respect for answering, time in the clock without interruption. College debates, for example, enforce this rigidly.

Wait, really? You guys are being serious here??

What leaving out the ‘foreign policy’ topic REALLY MEANS is that the American public gets no answers to the following:

  • Higher trade deficit with China
  • Mexico not paying for the wall
  • Russian bounties on US troops
  • North Korea rolling out larger nukes
  • Betrayal of Kurdish allies
  • Withdrawal from Paris Accords/Iran deal
  • Africa policy, aka. “shithole” countries
  • Withholding (Congressionally-approved) foreign aid in order to extort/pressure Ukraine into investigating a political opponent

To be clear, I shamelessly borrowed the above FACTS from a reddit thread… because being clueless is certainly worse. Or, more likely, being blinded by tribalism (read: loyalty that is far better reserved for stuff like team sports)

I’d actually like to see if Biden can discuss actual things he has done that are known and documented with any clarity.

Not taking swipes at the guy, but I really don’t think he can. I’d like to be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Joe needs to be set down on a porch somewhere nice with a good view of the sun set.
