Supplements from a Company Bankrupt in 2014?

So, I’ve been using Ultimate nutrition pro star for a month now. I saw a news that in 2014, the company declared bankruptcy. How is the business still operating? I bought a tub , checked everything for authenticity and bought from a trusted source. Am I having an original product? . The seller I bought from is Glanbia certified and is also certified by the importer of ON and prostar in my country. Does anyone still uses the product ? I don’t how it’s still selling it’s product despite being bankrupt

Bankruptcy doesn’t mean that a company has gone out of business. Its usually just a restructuring of debt.

So, is ultimate nutrition used in the western countries? I’ve heard they’ve stopped selling in the US. Have you personally used it? I prefer it over ON since it fits my pocket whereas ON is slightly expensive and also provides the same amount of protein. So do you know any well built guy who uses this or is it around in your country?

I actually know a bunch of well built guys who don’t use it at all…

See, it hasn’t been THAT long!

So does that mean that it’s not a good supplement and I should buy ON instead?

It is, via their own site, e-bay, amazon.

Nope. I use some stuff from a nearby big store, one of the only ones easily available with no artificial sweeteners. Just personal preference, but I like real sugar and can’t stand the taste of artificial sweeteners.

No. I and a few other people I knew used to use ON until their prices went up. Years ago they had a big 10 lb. bag for like $50.00 Other than having a pwo shake after lifting, I really don’t pay much attention to what other people use.

There is a big fallacy in the idea that Big Dude uses product X, therefore I should use product X to get like Big Dude.

Work ethic, perseverance, and I’ll throw in guidance from a good coach or trainer will get you a lot further than any product or supplement ever will.

Dude, you’re way off track.

First off, there is going to be virtually no difference between most supplement brands. If you’re convinced you need supplements, just pick a brand that fits your budget.

But the more important thing here is that you don’t need to use supplements in the first place. You should be eating lots of REAL FOOD. If you’re going to use a whey supplement because it’s an easier and cheaper way to get more calories in your diet, that’s fine. But if you’re taking it because you think it’s necessary to getting big and strong, you’re wrong.

Bro, you’re best off using milk powder than any protein powder out there.

Assuming you’re in South Asia, this is what I like:

On the real, GOMAD is so much easier with milk powder. When I was in grad school, I’d mix two scoops of milk powder into a glass of whole milk post workout, and it was definitely better than any protein powder I ever took. All the carbs, fats, and proteins in milk make it a good whole food and help meet macros. There’s a guy on YouTube named Eric Bugenhagen who’s from Wisconsin, a state known for dairy, who’s a big proponent of whole milk dairy and says that whole milk contains peptides for growth. I don’t know about that, but I know milk has helped me, and most of my protein comes from dairy.

Yeah I understand the importance of real food. I’m not one of those people who think whey is a magic powder that’ll build muscle. Along with whey, I drink lots of milk, eat cottage cheese, a lot of whole wheat bread (and yeah, it’s whole wheat… Like literally), fruits, vegetables, peanuts, and dry fruits.

And this is good. Whether you use whey or milk powder won’t be much of a difference.

However, milk powder is probably a more economical option, more readily available, and helps you get in carbs and fats, which are usually taken out in whey protein supplements.

Yeah, but ive increased my budget and switched to a much better and established whey protein company. The only problem is sucralose , which is there in almost every whey supplement. If I take 2 scoops of flavored whey, would it harm me in any means?

I don’t think so, I’ve taken protein most of my life as well.

Thanks for the reply.

Why do you think sucralose is so dangerous in the first place? Can you share a link to a study indicating this is the case?

I guess you missed the part where I said they’re all the same, lol. Your money though, do what you want with it
