Hey do not be that tough on me, when I logged in to the topic, you can scroll up and see, it had already 5-6 answers, I didn’t see yours that’s why there was not a reply, I just realized it when saw it quoted, I always reply with an order, so your answer, I saw it was first it slipped me so it wasn’t on purpose.
Look, it’s not that I have someone here that really knows what’s best for my gym training, only my brothers of corse, but they always tell me not to go so heavy so I cant really rely on to them cause they tend to deload me every time,on this matter they told me just take a break! The fact is that I don’t want to do so, so I really wanted an opinion on this, from people that are actually training hard, had their own experiences and can offer a deeper way of view, maybe their self experiences on that.
Mental satisfaction and shit, I can’t even think why he wrote that, like is it bad to seek alternatives from people that knows better than you and have tried things up? We all training here,give our best self, maybe this question for someone is silly, but the fact that I’ll be away from iron stressed me hard, that’s why I seeker on people’s thoughts. U don’t like a thread, go away, simple as that, I can’t help it but when I read comments like this I feel that i m in high school again with some bitching classmates. Come on in here we are better than this.
There was even a very nice guy that offered me extremely useful advice about my bodyweight exercise, so I don’t see the reason you become so critical about a question I didn’t even see.
I know what you’re saying, I have to pack a lot too, to actually keep me on track with my plan, so until I reach my destination, I will actually lift some heavy stuff too ![]()
Thank you so much, I agree with the balance in training/work/life you mentioned and tell me about squizing, some times the only thing i do when im abroad is some kick backs, just that so I can really relate to what you mentioned in ![]()
I believe you may have responded to the wrong poster here.
@T3hPwnisher
No it was actually you I wanted it to be addressed.
Just to know that it wasn’t on purpose while giving you the reason I posted it in the first place.
I was not the one that was critical if your non response. As I noted: the majority of folks seem to not respond to my questions.
@T3hPwnisher
I know, but still it was you I was going for.
I agree the tone is a little confusing, so do not pay so much attention to that part of response.
@T3hPwnisher
Also,with your question, you actually approach it with a very crucial way(maybe philosophical, too if you think it further), I’ve thought that way too, but only if you share your questionings, who knows what others may have to say, it always helps, so that is why I popped the question.
You may find thinking paths you never thought they exist so that’s why I like to ask others, even if some questions are considered to be silly.
I genuinely think you have me confused with someone else. I never asked why you asked the question. My question was not rhetorical. I wanted to know if getting an answer to your initial question would change your course of action.
You’ve got @T3hPwnisher mixed up with @flipcollar.
Both of them have a point though. Granted maybe their delivery wasn’t as nice as you wished, but that’s okay. It doesn’t have to be.
A lot of us on here don’t. To be honest, I don’t think anyone on here 100% knows what’s best for their OWN training. We just go off of feedback the best of our ability, and train according to how are bodies are best responding to training and research.
I have yet to have a coach, a personal trainer, any of that mess. I have a 10$ gym membership, that I sometimes want to cancel and just build a home gym in my garage. I’ve found a bunch of things that others would consider crap that I implement for conditioning work, and I keep it moving. I don’t think I have one post on here that’s asking what I should do concerning rest periods or breaks from the gym. On my log, it’s me just figuring shit out that’s gonna work for progress in the long run.
These past two months I’ve been making it to the gym twice a week. On a good week. Typically I only go in once. And all of my lifts are maybe 30-50lbs under. That’s it.
Flips point, in a nicer version is this: Its up to you to go about how to judge your training and rest periods. What would it matter, our opinions, anyways?
Obviously it’s nice to hear what other people have to say, if you’re a person who thrives on things of that nature concerning interpersonal communication. Without going into an entire yammer fest, concerning training, it’s really about me, myself, and I.
There’s a lot of things we don’t want to do, but that doesn’t mean folks opinions will change. And that doesn’t mean their opinions will be any less correct.
Because it’s rather true. All the guys who commented in this thread, it did bring satisfaction to you. You found it helpful right? That’s from your viewpoint at least. There’s a lot of instances where it isn’t a bad thing, but for places like TNation, it’s not completely necessary. The mental satisfaction that Flip mentioned, more or less mimics what validation would be, and it more or less signifies that it’s attached to a topic/question that has a very basic answer that one could answer for themselves.
I actually like you, so I do wish to at least help you a bit concerning asking questions and manuvering through this community.
This is a public forum. Saying that ^ as one point to your argument in defense of yourself isnt a correct way to go about getting your point across. Everyone has a right to post where they want and to who they want. Regardless of how much you do or don’t like it. You do have the option to just not say anything back. We don’t know you personally, or your work ethic, what you stand for, your principles, personality, character, etc. And most of us don’t mean any harm. Pwnisher and Flip included. There’s just a lot of folks who come on here for all the wrong reasons, and waste time.
Nope. But it’s even better to answer your own questions first. I don’t mean that I’m a rude way, but sometimes when you rationalize things, the answer will more than likely be the same as the answer you’re seeking from others.
shhhhhhhh I was enjoying this. you’re gonna blow my cover!
Awww lol. I wish I would’ve seen that before posting an entire book worth of opinion lol.
But I was just trying to get her to realize a few things.
I know I probably pooped all on the party. Forgiveness requested lol
@planetcybertron
Nope, again, I didn’t mix up anyone, I just wanted my point to be addressed to the guy I actually didn’t see his comment, maybe used some clues from what the other said, but my answer, maybe confusing, was for the person I wrote it ![]()
Thank you for tour answer though!
Look, my question in the first place is addressed to people that actually can offer ideas to me, we made this topic very deep and we shouldn’t, that’s my opinion.
If someone finds it “stupid”, he/she can just ignore it right?
Like I did in the first place with what someone mentioned about me ignoring on purpose someone.
Things are simple!
Yeah, I understand, but everyone here are different, I want to hear opinions, I want to learn about the rest other lifters take, what they think, I want additional info and points of views, personal experiences etc of how different people actually face it.
For me is important that’s why I asked, if it isn’t for you then good for you you didn’t make any post on this!!
Its just that;just mind your business (not you personally) and do not comment!
Obviously, it’s about something I’ve been really concerned about so that I actually took the time and post it!
A lot of people answered me, how I appreciated that and thank them again, are they stupid? Lol if someone is here for progress I don’t see the progress of judging another lifter about what someone thinks of “appropriate” quality of questions.
yeah, that has nothing to do with me want to know different facts.
That’s why there are people checking what we want to upload here. Of it wasn’t the right place I’m sure they are smarr enough not to allow my post, or withdraw it so it is the place for any kind of question here, whether some find it ok or not.
I don’t mean to sound rude too, I do like you too, and since its the Internet, I think a lot of here can be misinterpreted so for my place everything ok, its just as you said, if don’t like better not answer at all!
There isn’t any kind of though/question crime police here:)
Thank you again for your time!!
But you still haven’t answered the question I asked, and meanwhile said many things that would have been applicable to the statement @flipcollar made. Surely you can understand my confusion.
Yeah, that’s what I meant, that I used too many info to answer to you, it was just that I wanted to cover it up for you entirely assuming you read the statement you mention, just to cover it up, I know what you said.
So again, cause my previous posts contain the answer to you too, even the confusinf one;I posted that cause I want to learn from other lifters their personal experiences, what they’ve done, what worked for them, what they personally think is best. I always want to learn something new so as not to miss something. That’s why I made the question, not to feel okay for myself!!! I lift heavy every day, I don’t miss workouts, not an attention seeker, I GET ALL THE SATISFACTION I NEED AND CONFIDENCE FROM MY PERFORMANCES, so of corse an answer to my question, if it offers me advice I can work on will change my actions. That’s why I made it, to find out if I can do more than I had thought in the first place.
But your original question did not ask for advice on how to train. It asked if taking a month off would affect gains, and if it would improve recovery. You already had a training plan established to minimize gains.
It seemed like a situation that you had no ability to change. If that is the case, will answer change your course of action? If it will, why let this situation happen? If it won’t, why concern yourself with the answers?
It’s okay the people that wanted to understand, understood, and I actually received a lot of help already ![]()
I once again feel you believe my questions are rhetorical. They are not.
Nope, but I cant get myself clear cause I have no means to express than just writing,I actually do not practice English in my everyday life, so maybe I used some wrong expressions, or I didn’t include all my thoughts to my original post.
But a lot of people actually answered back even when it wasn’t so much clear, so again I got the help I needed.
I meant in the sense pertaining to you. You know that saying “Me, Myself, and I”.
@planetcybertron
Sorry, I read it a little fast ![]()
