bodybuilding.com is awesome.
/sarcasm
I doubt it’d be better than gear.
but it’s hard to say. plants and their extracts can have crazy results sometimes. I’d like to see some scientific articles relating to this. not just anecdotal evidence from a single tribe.
I just searched through my University’s scientific article database which is networked across the country…found nothing by way of research on suma root’s anabolic properties.
I’m not even going to look at an article that will perpetuate such foolish thoughts.

what?
Oh, I’m sorry. my e-penis must be small because I’m not a hard core veteran of this site? Or is it that I’m only a skinnyfag still and not HYOOOGE? Or is that some east coast hatin from a “mainlander”?
I’m pretty new to the fitness scene. I haven’t even been going to the gym or eating clean for a year yet. So forgive some of my ignorance. I guess we weren’t all lucky to be born with innate knowledge of how things work. More specifically, I’m pretty new to reading stuff online, and I lurk around a bit trying to read and learn as much as I can, so yea I only have 17 posts. Whats my post count got to do with anything?
I was just saying that plants and their extracts can be pretty damn powerful. I don’t know jack about suma root, and I doubt it’d be better than steroids. if there was some kind of articles showing it to be useful, then kool. Some one already said they couldn’t find any though. I doubt there’d really be any either.
and I’ll be honest, I’m a little ignorant of the bb.com hating I read about online. not that I care about bb.com or anything.

You son of a…
Battle Pope… I don’t deny some herbs etc… are powerful… but do you honestly think ANY of them are REMOTELY the same as gear???
“they don’t work out at all” Well there’s your first Bullshit indicator.
I’m pretty sure, even if you take steroids, you need to bust your ass in the weight room. You can’t just sit there and grow massive muscles cuz you take juice. I could be wrong though…
This thread is stupid for a few reasons.
- This is some kid on bodybuilding.com, saying how ‘ripped’ all these indians are.
This kid’s perception of ‘ripped’ is probably some ab definition - which is a result of a very active lifestyle and eating nothing but meat/veg.
You can easily see that when he says they go from 130lbs to a shredded 200lbs in 1 year is a little more than an exaggeration.
- Why do people always pick out some moderately muscular person, and assume what they do is the pinnacle for muscle gain?
Example: Chad Waterbury had his ‘epiphany’ about HFT because he saw gymnasts who trained every day.
Taking suma root because of some low fat indians…
People who cycle because some cyclists have big legs…
Why do people always seem to forget, the biggest (of all muscle groups) and most shredded (of all athletes) are BODYBUILDERS.
(Who train their body parts once a week, and take STEROIDS, not suma root.)
Suma Root Better Than Steroids?
For what?
Bodybuilding? Hell no.

How could anyone ever doubt the power of the suma root?

first line of my first post in this thread:
“I doubt it’d be better than gear.”
I know it isn’t the “same” as gear. and I doubt it’s effects could be considered “better” than that of what gear could give you (if you do it properly, but that should go with out saying).
However, I’m scientifically minded, and I’ll leave a little open in case I am wrong.
Since I don’t know anything about the plant or it’s properties beyond what one person said it “could” do, and I know an “ok” amount about gear, but not enough to seriously consider doing it. I’m not going to pretend like I’m an expert. I’ll leave that window of doubt open.
I’m sorry I seem to have been misinterpreted.
SIGH, here;s where my world travels come in handy!
Here is a link to what the guys were really drinking. its a popular drink called “caá-mini” that originated among the guarani indians and is prepared by boiling the leaves of the Yerba MAte tree. It has nothing to do with fucking Suma root.
http://www.noborders.net/mate/legend.html
Yerba Mate tea is supposed to be a mystical tea that grants ginormous strength to the regular drinker.
For bodybuilding I think it wouldn’t give you half the results Gear would. However I have heard of football players and other athletes using Suma Root.
Gear > Suma Root

I wouldn’t mind trying that out someday.
Since i have loads of suma root left from years ago i am going to try and re-do my experimentation with it.
If the native indians in the link did in fact use this root i want to mimic their protocol.
I’m going to take 5 grams or 1 teaspoon of suma root powder in hot water to be drunk every half hour. That’s 100 grams suma root a day and 2 grams of ecdysterone.
