On a personal level, I think Suarez was well within his rights not to shake Evra’s hand. That being said, given the ridiculous degree to which such matters are over-analyzed/scrutinized etc, I can totally understand why many fans, players, managers etc would think his decision not to shake the guys had not to such a wise move.
Then again, in the the past, I’m sure this kinda thing happened all the time, we just didn’t make such a big fusss over it.
Suarez wasn’t obligated to shake Evra’s hand. Evra should have ignored him instead of grabbing his hand angrily, lol. What did he expect? A big hug from that cunt of Suarez? That made me laugh.
What I found even funnier was Rio Ferdinand refusing to shake Suarez’s hand. That was awesome.
And yeah, fuck Suarez.

Yes he was.
The FA Code of Conduct includes the pre match handshake as a requirement.
He was wrong not to do it as it will now cause an issue that should have been laid to rest to drag on further. I doubt Evra wanted to shake his hand but they’re fucking grown men and should be able to put issues like this behind them.
Having said that Evra’s celebrations at the end of the game were just stupid and unnecessary.

Fuck off. Evra did it in front of stretford end.
It was a pasionate moment. he can celebrate in front of his fans and theres nothing wrong with it.
Suarez is a horrible, scummy, pathetic excuse for a man.
That doesnt change with his apology either.
He spits at people, bites them, cheats and hes a clear, undeniable racist.

I’m not denying that Suarez is scum, and I agree that his apology is a joke.
Evra deliberately went over ans was dancing around directly in front of Suarez, there’s celebrating in front of fans and then there’s trying to goad a reaction from someone. This was the latter. It’s a big fucking stadium, there was no reason for Evra to be where he was.
Overall Evra’s conduct was superb and I agree with Ferguson that Liverpool should get rid of Suarez immediately, his on and off field behaviour is a disgrace to the game
Liverpool and their supporters are the scum of the earth.I don’t even support a premiership team, and I still take such delight in seeing them being beaten and terrible things happening to them as a club.

Ok, at the risk of performing a u-turn and contradicting myself, perhaps Evra shouldnt have done that.
And what about evras tackle on Rio?
Classic, a headstand. Rio himself has said hes still picking grass out of his hair.
^ Fair enough, shake hands and move on ![]()
That tackle was incredible, less than a minute into the game and Evra, Ferdinand and Suarez all challenge for the same ball. Rio was lucky to be OK after that, although his last-man challenge on Suarez later was superb.
Interesting views gentlemen.
I did not follow the initial events of the racict remark too closely, but was lucky enough to witness an intense game of football this weekend.
It seems to me that Evra is very uncomfortable with the colour of his skin. If he was proud of who he was, of his culture etc, then why is he so offended by the racist remark?
Shouldnt one be proud of there heritage? What is there to be ashamed of?
And yes I think Suarezs actions were not acceptable either. But they both seem to compliment each other well.

Assuming you know the facts, why do you think that??

This post makes no sense in the context of what happened.
Luis Suarez received an eight game ban and a £40,000 fine for racist comments in October. This was enforced by the FA on the grounds that racism is totally unacceptable in football. Suarez and Liverpool FC failed to appeal the decision, in effect admitting guilt.
The game presented an opportunity to end the issue yet Suarez chose to drag it out.
In what way is Evra ‘uncomfortable’ with his skin colour?
Your post suggests that he should be OK with receiving racist abuse during matches.
What actions has Evra taken, besides his unwise celebrations at the end of the match, that ‘compliment’ racial abuse?

Wow. Lololololol…
Damn!
Are you implying racial abuse is okay? That one should just stand to racial abuse and shut the fuck up about it?
So those white people who unfairly get called racist names by blacks or latinos and then complain about it, they are uncomfortable in their skin too?
Racial abuse is NOT OKAY whether it comes from a black, a white or Asian person. It has nothing to do with being proud of one’s heritage or being comfortable in one’s skin. What a fucking pile of motherfucking ignorant crap piss.
Not surprised coming from you. You live in Australia. Most there are still ignorant when it comes to race issues and relations. I’m sure you think it’s also okay to racially abuse an aborigine or an Asian and all they have to do is throw their fist in the air and shout, ‘I’m proud!’.
You fucking twat.

Well, first of all, there is no place for racism in sport.
To answer your questions; The alleged racist remark had made Evra respond in a extreme manner(dancing around Suarez at the end of the match). If he was comfortable with the colour of his skin, then why would he care? Why wouldnt he just shrug his shoulders and say “yes I am black and proud to be so.” If he was comfortable with who he is, then the racist remark would of been like water of a ducks back.

All in all, i think Evra and Manchester United behaved very sensibly.
They maintained silence over the issue while Liverpool questioned Evra, Manchester United and the FA’s credibility.
Even at Anfield the guy who was racially abused was constantly booed.
So i can understand his delight at winning the game and wanting to rub it in after the hand shake incident.
But yeah, Suarez is scum.

Uncomfortable? That is the most moronic think I have ever heard.
Of course hes comfortable and proud.
But being called a ****** is a derogatory word. It cant be taken any other way. And its disrepectful to his ancestors and has nothing to do with heritage.
If anything, if he was ok with what Suarez called him, it would show a complete lack of disrespect and ignorance to all of his ancestors and black man around the world who had faught and suffered for equality.
Suarez was to demeaning and spoke only to offend Evra.
He was right to report a racist, scumbag to the FA.
And the day before the game, Evra went to Sir Alex Ferguson and said “I will shake Evras hand, I have nothing to be ashamnd off and done nothing wrong”.

Again showing a lack of understanding.
Firstly the racist remark is not ‘alleged’ it is on video and the report indicates he used the word n**** ‘at least seven times in a two minute period’.
Secondly the remark occurred in a match played IN OCTOBER for which Suarez has served an eight game ban. The issue with the match on Sunday was Suarez’ refusal to shake Evra’s hand and lay the issue to rest. Evra’s celebrations were partly in response to winning what is traditionally a grudge match and partly trying to incite further reaction from Suarez.
It also appears that you do not understand what the term ‘racist’ means.
He lied to Dalglish, management, and now the owners are involved. I’d say 90% likely sell him off at the end of the season…
Fuck Suarez, hes a dirtbag. United United United!
