Being underground, like in a cave.
I fucking hate being underground, Your separated from the world by shear solid rock.
I have no problem with heights Ive done the sky diving and mountain climbing, and Ive jumped off of so much high shit I should be dead at least 6 times.
But being “trapped” freaks me out.
Heights are way more likely to kill you, but at least then your not just sitting in a hole waiting to die.
I didnt realize this fear till I went cave diving, it was like a baby cave, but Im a wide guy and I got kinda stuck a few times and a few times you had to cross watery areas on your hands and knees, I almost flipped shit.
Worst fucking hobby ever, never do it.
Same here man. I remember there was a movie about 3 years ago, some chicks went into a cave and were trapped, and eventually attacked bye monsters. I forget the name, but that shit scarred me for life.
me too! … crazy right!?
i also had a fear of an invisible man in the sky shakin his finger at me every time i had sex or smoked pot.
This reminds me of when I was a kid and I would visit my grandmother. She had a painting of the Madonna with baby Jesus sitting in her lap hanging in her hallway and she would tell me that baby Jesus was watching me and could see everything I did…
That totally freaked me out and I could never walk down the hallway because of it…not even to go to the bathroom.
Changing lanes from right to left, like coming off onramps, etc. The thought of someone coming up behind and changing from left to right as I’m moving right to left and nicking my left rear bumper to where I spin sideways, oversteer and tumble down the highway always makes me tense up. I drive a lifted Tahoe and I know it’d be nothing to start tumbling.
Gets me nearly every time unless I’m drunk. Ha! Seriously though, lane changes, always sketchy for me.
Bee Swarms are scary for me too. I used to work at a X-mas tree farm and every now and again you’d be shearing a tree and it would be full of bees. Ever since then I get the cold sweats.

Is “cemetery” spelled differently where King comes from? I’ve never seen that spelling and it’s not listed in dictionary.com.
The misspelling is intentional. In the book, the cemetery was created by children. This is also explained in the link I provided.
It’s so sad you had to explain that. I was scared of my cat for weeks after reading that book. I would see it on the living room floor and go “didn’t I just let you out?”
I fear that cat. She is 15 years old and mean as hell.
What’s worse is when they’re fixated on the invisible phenomena. You know… that thing. They’ll just keep staring at it for what seems like hours, and then poof. All done, on to something else.
Cats are so fucking stupid, haha…
I know, right? A lot of times when I sit with my cat, he just starts moving his head around and looking over mine. I always think he’s looking at a spider coming down on a web from the ceiling. Big arachnophobe here.
Anything with more than 4 legs, specially spiders, roaches and such. Also lobsters, I’m terrified of lobsters.
A lot of things that people mentioned aren’t really stupid or irrational I think. I try to tell myself that lobsters pose no danger but I still cringe just thinking of them. ><

I hear ya. I was driving in the left lane down the highway and got ran off the road by a mormon church van. Flipped twice, skidded on the roof of my car and hit a tree dead on going probably 60-70mph. Surprisingly wasn’t injured, but changing lanes freaks the shit out of me now.
and we completely knocked down the tree, lol. Luckily it was there or else we’d have gone upside down into oncoming traffic.
