Either I’m imagining this, or a couple weeks ago I read something here on T-Nation quoting John Berardi saying that the only reason white potatoes were linked to being overweight/obese in many studies was because of the exponential growth of fast food french fries.
In these studies, a plain, baked white potato was not distinguished from deep fried white potato, Berardi said, and so the data cast white potatoes in an extremely negative light, when in fact that is not at all the case.
Can anyone verify this, or do I need to just call it a day?
