A Wisconsin bus driver was reportedly fired on Wednesday for harassing a 12-year-old whose family had a Romney sign in their lawn, allegedly saying, “Maybe your mom should have chosen abortion for you.”
This anti-free speech and the hundreds (not tens or dozens) of white on black murders and rapes in recent years in indicative of a mindset that was once fought and destroyed in the last century’s Civil Rights movement.

That is so fucked up, it isn’t even funny. No one should ever have to go through shit like that. The fact that this happens scares me to death. Obviously, if it can happen once, it can happen again. How in your right mind could anyone even think of doing that. I have problems being mean to people, and then there are people who do stuff like this. Absolutely, insane! There shouldn’t be any type of racism in this country, but there is. There are individuals who are ignorant and still have a racist mind set. To be honest, (this is getting off topic) but I am more attracted to black women than white woman. Anyways, we are all equal individuals and everyone should be treated that way. Racism shouldn’t be tolerated at any level.

Barefoot, he was dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks. He was SHOT IN THE BACK OF HIS HEAD, neck and back and his body was then set on fire.
According to the testimony of the medical examiner, Channon’s death came AFTER HOURS of torture, having suffered injuries to her vagina, anus and mouth.
She was raped with an unidentified object and beaten in the head. It was also reported that her body was SCRUBBED WITH BLEACH WHICH WAS ALSO POURED DOWN HER THROAT, in an attempt by her attackers to remove DNA evidence, while Channon was still alive. She was then bound with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered with a bin liner and her body stashed within five large bin bags, before being placed inside a residential waste disposal unit and covered with sheets. The medical examiner said there was evidence that Channon slowly suffocated to death.

Well, this is a hard subject, in all reality. I mean obviously, in a perfect world, racism doesn’t exist. Almost anybody you ask will tell you they’re not racist, and most actually believe themselves when they say that. IMHO, the truth is that everyone is racist. It’s human nature. Birds of a feather flock together. You see someone who looks different, dresses different, acts different, talks different, like different music, movies, books, art, hobbies, etc, and there’s an inherent separation between you and them, at least until you get to know them as a person, not a collection of their preferences. So obviously, it follows that with something as plain and apparent as the color of somebody’s skin, that’s gonna cause perception issues right off the bat. Not to mention the fact that people of varying skin colors/ethnicity are more likely to have different cultural backgrounds, causing even MORE potential issues…so yeah, that’s my take on it.
Racism exists in everyone, and it will always exist. And while it’s not “ok”, if we at least recognize that it’s how we’re wired on a basic level, it might make it easier to accept we’d be better off unified as humans, rather than divided by cultural/skin differences.
