THAT AVATAR is awesome lol.
Friday was Arms. You know the deal there.
Saturday I played some golf in the AM and then hit a Rib Festival where I polished off two full racks in one sitting. They were tasty.
Yesterday I trained legs.
A. Lying Curls
B. Leg Press
C. (Parallel) Box Squats w/ bands - 1 giant set of 20/10 (rest pause) with 185
D. Hack Squats
F. DB RDL’s
G. Extensions
I like the above setup as I get some serious DOMS from the sessions.
whoa, looking good! I have radar when it comes to anyone talking about RIBS Yummmm ![]()
Mmmmmmmmm . . . . ribs.
Buddy, when is the damned diet over and when do you get to rebound? I’d be interested in talking shop about rebounds with you, actually.

My guess is when I’m completely peeled. Push may come to shove though September 15th which is the 26 week mark.

what is your baseline weight like without training? For instance, my bodyweight untrained likes to stay in the low 180’s. I have to eat a ton to get over 200lbs. every time I have dieted down I have experienced zero rebound. Did you notice a big rebound right after your last get peeled diet?

Low to mid 190’s. Given that I’m in the 170’s now, I expect a bounce back for sure.
I’m not sure how lean I’m going to have to get before I can go back up. :-S
I guess I should post yesterday’s training
Chest + Shoulders
Decided to “fit in again here” so did some BB Benching to begin.
A. Bench
12 x 95
10 x 135
5 x 185
1 x 205
1 x 225
1 x 235
3 x 6 x 185
Basically worked on form. Funny thing was I felt strongest on my last set of 6 @ 185.
B. Incline HS
6 x 8 x 2pps
C. Machine Flyes
3 x 12 x 1+1/4 reps x some weight
Basically 1 rep was 1 full rep plus a 1/4 rep from stretched position.
D. 1 arm Decline Cross-Chest Machine Press
3 x 12
Sit sideways against the bench and press out and across your chest. This gets the blood in your chest if it ain’t there already.
E. Seated DB Laterals
I didn’t count sets but did 100 reps @ 20lbs. Very little rest between sets.
D. Free Motion Dual Arm Front Cable Raises
15/12/10/AMAP Drop set
Finished with some abs and called it a day.
LOL @ the fit in here comment…the only thing that makes you kinda weird is that you root for a ghey football team.

I admit, teams that wear a lot of jewellery, you know like giant flashy Super Bowl rings, could be considered ghey.

Like the five we have?

Its not the jewlery its more the hair…
ha ha ha… nice hair.
Matty - He’s just hiding his eyes so defenses can’t key on him. He’s ALWAYS thinking. LOL.
Tuesday’s session - Back
A. HS Pullovers - 4 x 15
B. Hanging/Stretch WG Pull Ups - 7 x 3
C. Deadstop DB Rows - 4 x 8
D. WG Pull Downs - 15/12/10/8
E. Seated CG Row - 3 x 10
F. HS Shrugs - 4 x 12 w/ 3 sec squeeze
G. UG Machine Row - 2 x AMAP (Drop sets)
Sounds like a lot but I worked without a lot of rest and channelled my general crankiness(anger) into strength. I used 110’s for the Deadstop DB rows. 2 sets without straps, 2 sets with (once my elbow started to flare up).
Had baseball last night as well. We won 12-2 and now move into the finals. I’m seeing the ball insanely well and haven’t struck out since July 24. Went 2/3 last night with a double and a single and scored 2 runs. Hitting .311 on the season. Not bad for an old man in a young kids league.
Going to train Legs again tonight; hit the Jays-Red Sox game tomorrow and then attack Shoulders/Arms/Legs on Fri/Sat/Sun.
great progress Dot - nice underwear in the current shot ![]()
Thanks nl!
All in all a decent weekend.
Red Sox game was fun to attend even though they lost. Caught up with an old friend which was worth the visit into the city. Toronto is crazy these days with TIFF (International Film Festival) and the crazies out celebrity hunting. Too many ‘I’m looney for Clooney’ t-shirts for my liking. You’re looney alright!
Weekend lifting was good as well. Used a shoulder session from a BB friend of mine. It’s focused on getting as much blood into the shoulders as possible with fascia stretching between sets. Saturday was arms. Two exercises each for Tri’s and Bi’s and then 8 sets of 8 reps. I miss doing brachio work but it kills my elbow (tennis elbow) so I’ve been avoiding hammer curls/pinwheel curls.
Legs yesterday (which made it 3 leg sessions in 8 days). Felt pretty strong as I had a carb up DAY on Saturday. Highlights were 3 sets of 8 reps on leg press w/ 9pps. I started at 4pps for 20 reps and then worked my way up. Also did 3 sets of 20 reps on hack squat. Failed on last rep of last set. Just died in the hole.
Diet is the same essentially. Got to carb up Saturday. 2/3 cup of white rice with every meal + Cheat Meal @ night. I went with lean ground turkey + rice for all meals and then did a steak sandwich + 1/2 plate of fries for cheat meal. Weight was at 177 this morning which means I’ll probably be about 173 by Thursday. Cardio has been bumped to 60min daily. That part is atrocious.

Dude, what happened? You’re supposed to BEAT the JETS.
Very disappointed in you.
dude… an hour of cardio a day. mad props to you for that my friend. Sounds like you had a really nice weekend though and aren’t “diet depressed” which is great. Sometimes it can just wear on ya!
