Whats your average heart rate for most of the stuff? Like what was it in the 19sept EMOM you did on youtube?

My HR hovered around the 160-170 mark during that workout

I did a 60 minute EMOM last night and my HR never dipped under 160. An absolutely brutal workout

Big shoutout to @T3hPwnisher and T-Nation on there

Dude, always appreciate the love. You going forward, living it and spreading the message is the best thanks I could ever receive.

I was upset with how often the host would cut you off when you were RIGHT in the middle of some solid gold. He definitely missed some opportunities to grow from you, but you still put out a lot of great wisdom.

The biggest thing I loved was you talking about the 100 bodyweight squats and ā€œjust do SOMETHINGā€. That’s really it. So many people are so torn on what to do that they pick nothing, and it’s the worst choice. Doing ANYTHING is going to be better than doing nothing.

Love the bit on overcoming as well. Absolutely true. SOMETHING should be overcome in every session. Doesn’t need to be a PR.

Thanks brother I always pay credit where it’s due and you’re owed it in spades

That’s a good point re being cut off. I would be asked something then cut off and the conversation would go down another path. The guy is new to the podcast game however so he probably has to find his flow.

It also took a path down the political route which tbh I wasn’t too comfortable with because ultimately all I wanted to talk about was training

Just did 100 22 count burpees with Tjibbe Gastra who is a fucking animal.

This is the beautiful thing about burpees. I can have a workout with someone in a different country. A brutal workout at that. There’s an ebb and a flow to burpee training when performed with a workout partner

Ok lads, looking for some input here

My wee man has started nursery the last few weeks so that has freed up some of my time

I’ve joined a commercial gym and have been hitting weights however mainly 2/3 lifts then getting the hell out because it bores me to tears and I have a ton of work waiting for me when I finish

However the bulking wolf has been howling at my door as of late. I have this voice drilling into my head that I need to go one one last bulk. God knows why however the only way to tame this voice is to just go ā€˜fuxk it’ and start gaining

I want to go down the @T3hPwnisher route however the idea of squatting scares me nowadays as my lower back is cranky however I might just throw 2 sheets to the wind

His 6 month bulking plan combined with burpee centric focused conditioning seems the logical route

I’ve also ate like crap this weekend and put on 2kg which I want to strip this week so I have a more realistic weight to start from as opposed to the watery bloat I’m carrying as I speak

What do you say guys? How does this sound

I love how you don’t pigeonhole yourself into a ā€œcampā€

Assuming my body holds together, my plan is to start up Super Squats on 7 Nov.

If you’re in a spot where you want to gain and time is short, that’s how I’d go about it. Something 20 rep squat based.

Or are you back at that gym that has the trap bar? If so, you could do something that’s been written about but I haven’t seen anyone follow through one: 20 rep trap bar lifts. Get some decent straps and rest in the top position, going touch and go. That, some weighted dips and chins would go far. I’m sure you could find something in Brawn that would answer the mail.

Not to say the 6 month program isn’t effective. It absolutely works. But if someone said ā€œmaximum mass in minimal timeā€ to me, Super Squats is my answer.

I’ve got plenty of time as I plan to bulk through to next year, probably spring

Where is this trap bar program? Is the top position high handles?

I mean time more in ā€œtime per sessionā€ vs ā€œduration of daysā€. It’s a matter of 20 minute gym sessions vs 60+

Trap bar program is the exact same as the other program: you just use a trap bar.

Back when it was formed, the trap bar only had the low handles. That’s probably best, as the ROM would be a bit closer to a squat.
