String Cheese - Yay/Nay?

Looking at the nutritional info on string cheese it seems to be an ideal food. Roughly, a stick has about: 80cal, 8gprotein, 0 carbs, and 1 gram of fat. Essentially, it reads as a processed form of cottage cheese. With that said, does anyone eat string cheese as part of body building diet - cutting or bulking?

I love it. A couple pieces of it with an apple is a great snack.

I eat it on non-training (low carb) days.

Polly-O!

YAY…I feel like a kid when eating it for some reason. Guess that’s a good thing.

I’ve been eating 3 sticks for my afternoon snack (meal 4). It is actually a very satisfying meal…more so than the protein shake I replaced it with.

For some reason I feel like I’m cheating with that meal.

I like it alot and there is alot here at my house usualy… BUT, I try and stay away from it because if I’m not mistaken, all the ones I know of are too processed…which is not good at all if you are giving up processed foods and such… I mean like alot of articles in here concerning that matter in general, ask yourself if a Caveman ate cheesestrings!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

He would if he could.

Once I can afford it, I will soon be embarking on a Whole Foods/Raw Foods diet. Vegan? F-ck that. Just raw in it its entiretry which will include pasture-fed beef, raw dairy, and fruits and veggies, seeds, and nuts. Easy to do with no cooking required. That’s thats what I call living:)

Yeah you can eat raw meat, just get it from a source that’s safe (NOT your supermarket). Remember people eat sushi too…

Fats and proteins, and if you opt for more expensive shit, pretty clean. I say go for it, I enjoy it myself. 2 at lunch every day.

We used to keep this stuff in the house at all times, but lately it’s all about whatever weird European cheeses turn up at Whole Foods. Nothing wrong with Polly-O, but unpasturized goat’s milk gouda ROCKS.

Definitley the bomb, Lucerne sells 36 packs, I can only find them at Dominicks.

It’s good stuff. Way too expensive though considering how easy it is to go through a whole pack.

I’ve had instances where I don’t have any food on me and I’ve had to run into a supermarket and grab some cold cuts (turkey) and a package of string cheese. Not the worst thing you could be eating, low if any carbs, decent protein (if you eat all 5 - 8 that come in a pack), and usually not too horrible on the sat fat.
