Thank you, snap! Due November 19.
Part of the reason I started all of this weight loss/fitness stuff 3 years ago was to have good habits now so I would be in shape for a pregnancy, and then not have to struggle to get back in the grind after the birth. It’s just already the lifestyle.
I’m sure glad I did ![]()

Hiked an hour around our camp property, forgot how exhausting it can be to walk through sand in heavy muck boots. Getting pulled by excited dogs. It was chilly but I was sweating pretty good!

This week trying something new. Early AM workouts. (I’ve been doing this on Fridays for the circuit for months now.)
I notice after a day at work that I’m tired enough to sally out of my workouts. I fall asleep at 8pm anyway, so it’s not going to rob me of too much sleep. I like the idea of relaxing for the evening after work now that the weather is nice. This week has gone very well. Haven’t missed a day, and feel great. Getting out of bed early might be the key to having it all ![]()
I started out Tuesday/Wednesday just doing some treadmill hiking since it’s mindless and I’m not really used to this AM thing but after two days like that I got bored to death, so this morning I did some strength stuff.

Officially 11 weeks along today. Fingers crossed that since I haven’t needed any naps for about a week that my energy is coming back. First appointment with my midwife was this week and she said I’m so healthy it’s boring. Also got to hear babe’s heartbeat on doppler, and although I ultrasound/doppler people’s hearts every day, it’s really different and exciting to hear your own baby for the first time.

Too tired to get up in the AM so I hit it in the afternoon. Blessing in disguise, it was a beautiful day to work out outside. I set it up like one of my Saturday morning group workouts. The idea is to get through all 20 rounds as quickly as possible, minimal rest, then do something heart rate intensive for 5-10 minutes to finish (usually it’s jump rope, but I haven’t got one yet).

Heading to our camp this weekend, so I’ll get plenty of hiking and loaded carries. Access is on foot, our right-of-way is through a river, we tent camp with two dogs, and it’s pretty remote. Going to be a great few days, really looking forward to it.
