AM:
2.19 mile run. This was my first timed run and I have realised quite how slow I am running. I don’t think its my fitness I just am not pushing myself.
I completed the run in 15:59.

SAME DAY
PM:
12km ergo @ r18. Completed in 52:31.9. This is a poor time but it was the end of a really long day involving a jog in the morning, football during the day, swimming and then the ergo.
Hey buddy, hope training is going well. If you want me to send you the links to some of the training plans I have been reading send me a PM. Remember on the UT2 pieces on the ergo they need to be consistent, but you don’t need to push yourself too hard. Have a few hard ergs a week and then some steady state where you focus on technique and consistent rate and split.
Based on my 2k time my UT2 time usually falls around 2:02.0 split. It is only on really good days that I speed up slightly on the second half. Anyway if you want me to go into more detail let me know and I will send you a PM. If you do send me your current PB for 2k, 5k and 30 minute so I can give you a rough ideas of the splits you should be hitting.
AM:
4.6 mile cycle ride to work. Completed it in 18:49. Quite a tough route mainly up hill.
Cycled back as well but a bit more chilled.
Going to do some upper body weights this afternoon.
Okay so 10 days without a post, I have been pretty lazy for a week.
I went for a 3 mile run the other day with 10 kg in a backpack and thats about it.
Today did a 5k at r18 @ 2:10.0 split. The machine i was using is pretty poor and I was also aiming for a 10k but time didn’t allow.
Then I did a brief core circuit 3 times with 3 stations:
1 min hanging leg raises
1 min front/side plank
1 min incline sit ups.
Been away a while…
Just done my first few weeks of term and well back into training after a month on a bike round Europe.
Today I completed a 60 minute ergo and rowed 14303m, a split of 2:05.8 which I was pretty happy with.

30 minute ergo. Beat my PB by 100m and crossed over the 7.5km line, finally.
30mins: 7520m
8km outing in an 8 man crew. Quite sloppy and not enough power in the boat.
5K Test
Smashed my PB by about 30sec with a time of 19:10.6, a split of 1:55.0 / 500m.
Pretty happy but looking forward to breaking the 19 minute barrier now.
