I definitely appreciate the tag and am always happy to help in any way that I can! I would love to run the Incinerator alongside you guys! @TrainForPain@Stormblessed I think it would be awesome and beneficial for the three of us to see how we handle the training days and unique challenges they bring!
I definitely enjoyed running Odin Force and Program X alongside T4P in the past!
I bought the book and the program looks great. Love the optional pump days depending on recovery, that’s an awesome feature. Whenever you guys wanted to start I’ll join in! Finishing up WS4SB now but there’s no real timeline on that so my schedule is open. Thanks again guys, looking forward to this if it comes to fruition.
Oh snap, I already have that one from years ago when it came out. I’m ready! Let’s go @davemccright. As the most jacked amongst us, you call the shots. Maybe we can tempt @simo74 or one of the other Mountain Doggers @s.gentz@ajb5478
I would love to do this but currently dieting. My current plan is modified. No way can I do John’s programs in a deficit. Would be interested in a couple months though when building again.
Honestly I’m good to either start tomorrow or if you guys want more time, we can start next week! I would probably start Sunday if we go with that latter option! I’m ready to go!
Extremely wise. I’ve made that mistake a couple times, and it ruins the training and I get cranky and blame the world. We’ll catch the next train together.
Same deal! I can start tomorrow or Friday. @Stormblessed is the deciding vote.
Tomorrow it is then gentlemen. Looking forward to this! Should be fun.
Do you guys have any diet tips going into this? I really don’t think pushing this hard 5-7 days a week I’ll gain any significant amount of fat but just wanted to get your thoughts.
I’m definitely big on peri-workout nutrition like @TrainForPain mentioned. I like to go Concoction Bowl with whey isolate pre, then intra I’ll be having Mag-10, then post I usually like to do whey isolate with cereal(cinnamon toast crunch is my favorite). Then I’m generally lower carb the rest of the day with still very high protein and higher fat intake, with the fat coming from high quality sources like coconut oil, extra Virgin olive oil, eggs, salmon, ghee or pumpkin seeds.
Haha I’m the same; I get fat easily but my current 190 is the lightest I’ve ever been so have some wiggle room. Honestly my goal is to stay within 5lb through November 2nd because I have a tux to fit into for my wedding. I was thinking around 3k calories and including intraworkout as Meadows suggests
Relatively consistent, I detailed my year below. But I’ve been averaging around 2400 calories a day since July and have been consistently cutting weight since then.
Jan-May: 208 down to 198
May-July: maintained at 196-198
July-Current: sitting around 190-192 at the moment
Not this time, got some specific goals I am chasing to the end of this year involving putting something big overhead.
Was only thinking the other day though that it would be awesome to run something with you and @davemccright and who ever else wants to, for the transformation next year.
Day 1 on John Meadows Incinerator program with @davemccright@TrainForPain. First day was fun, really looking forward to the next 12 weeks. Looks like if I consider this week 1 and do the base days, then start week 2 on Monday, the program should finish up just in time for my wedding. Great timing, glad we are doing this now!
Thursday 8/15/2024 11:00am Incinerator W1 - Legs
Lying Leg Curls 50x12 70x12 90x8 90x8 110x8 120x8. Last rep in the tank on the last set.
Squats 225x6 245x6 255x6 265x6. Really weak on these today. Need to start eating more. I am really starting to feel that I’ve been in a deficit for the majority of 2024.
Leg Press 3plx15 4plx15
Lunges 1x20 each side @ 95lb barbell. The space for walking lunges was taken.
Stiff Leg Deadlifts (elevated on a plate) 185x8 205x8 225x8 245x8. HARD
As this is a bodybuilding program, I’m dropping a few starting pictures below from this week and will drop periodically throughout. The goal here is to gain some muscle and keep body fat levels stable. I am pretty paranoid about gaining weight but I don’t want to undereat anymore. I think with hard work at the gym and additional conditioning, fat gain will be minimal. Just have to tell myself that mentally. I think my performance will shoot up while I am eating more too.
Great starting point man! I thought you would find this interesting, this dude actually got leaner while running Gamma Bomb during his growth phase, which is another one of John’s programs. The high intensity volume of work in these programs leave you with a great opportunity for a body recomp!
