Stopping TRT/Starting HCG for 1 Month for Fertility

Hi all,

I’m 36 and started TRT 6 months ago. I’ve been asking my endocrinologist for HCG since I plan on having a kid in the future. He has refused thus far until now. He said I can stop TRT and start HCG for 1 month and then back to TRT.

I was also having issues feeling bloated and loss of libido. I was taking 100mg/week and just switched to 50mg/3.5 days and feeling some improvement. Just did labs and Estradiol at 55.5 and estrogens total at 150.

What do you guys think? Looking for some advice. Thanks.

Who said that you can’t have a baby using TRT ?

Then take HCG in the future. Stopping TRT for 1 month now just to go back on doesn’t make any sense

You can add HCG to TRT if fertility is the goal, but if your doctor is unwilling to allow it, it demonstrates the doctor is clueless and should read up on modern TRT/fertility protocols.

It would be silly to stop TRT without even knowing if you are infertile, therefore you should get a sperm analysis before going any further.

hCG therapy can help preserve spermatogenesis in men undergoing TRT by maintaining intratesticular testosterone levels.

My endo said it is much harder while on TRT. He says once I’m ready to try for a new human, he’ll take me off TRT and start me on HCG.

I have been telling him about modern protocols I’ve read and he’s not very receptive. He tells me I shouldn’t take them simultaneously or my testosterone level will increase to extremely high. I’ve tried other docs in my area and no one else would even prescribe the TRT. I’ve seen some online clinics that will sell just HCG if doctors won’t prescribe it. I’m in the Metro Detroit area. Thanks

I’m thinking I might just take the hcg he gives me at 250 IU eod while I continue the trt.

I’m looking for another doc but most of them suck. I’ve tried a urologist previously and he just gave me clomid. I’ll keep looking though.

Critical thought is all that’s necessary, lower the T dosage and add in HCG. I remember when I asked my first Endo if I could inject more frequently to keep my levels more steady, his response was you can’t inject more frequently your levels will get too high.

It didn’t even occur to him to reduce the dosage while injecting more frequently.

I did tell him I’d lower my dose of test while taking hcg but he wasn’t having it. I’m not asking for medical advice but what is the common dose of test while taking hcg? My test level came back at 925. They drew my blood right before I injected my next dose on the same day. I believe that is what they refer to as trough? I currently inject 50mg every 3.5 days.

For my guys, it’s 120-180mg per week with 700-1000IU hCG.
