The same reason I spent my entire childhood being taught pluto was the 9th planet from the sun. Upon closer inspection they realized it’s barely 2/3rds the size of Earth’s moon and was reclassified as a dwarf planet.

yeah, I think everything comes down to the “old school”, nothing fancy approved way.
