Stopping TRT After 2 Years. PCT Advice?

Alright so I’ve decided with the levels I’m at. That’s that’s enough of a SERM for me.

  • I did 20mg of Nolva for 26 days. Then…
  • 20mg Mon, - Wed, - Fri, - Sun… Then…
  • just 20mg on Wednesday.

That’s enough of a taper for me as, the med will taper itself from my research and, after that last one on Wednesday /yesterday, getting over the feeling of being on Nolva. Hope it holds for me. I’m feeling ok. Better n better everyday with some in betweens. Now let’s see how I fare over the next 6 months.

Thanks to everybody I chatted on here over the past year with all of my posts. Really appreciate everyone. Thanks to OP here. Hope you’re doing well and can jump off clomid.

Let me know how you go :+1:.

How’s everything been going @sa22c??

Yeah not too bad. I think I’m past the worst of it all now. My endocrine system is starting to relax and settle in more and more. I feel OK. Pretty good. Still somewhat anxious at times but improving no doubt. On the weekend just gone I got heavily intoxicated. I hadn’t had a drink for about 2 months. I’m sure it hasn’t helped my cause, as I still feel somewhat hungover from it lol, but should be a ok. I’ll definitely get bloods in say 3 months from now to see how my body is holding up but I think and I hope I’ll be OK and my restart was successful. I could of got my levels higher with a longer RESTART/PCT but I’d had enough of Nolva. And my levels were acceptable. I’m hope my boozing twice in this past week hasn’t effected my recovery too much :call_me_hand:. How are you holding up? Are you off clomid?

@sa22c
Did the nolva make you feel not great?

They will return to where you left off or worse. Unless it was due to a script you took and now you are off; then sure it should rebound if levels were good before script.

It’s going to bed hell. I guess you never really got the great feeling from trt? Otherwise why would anyone want natural levels when you can legally do trt and keep levels at 20 year old status!

I would use the pharma group and aask them.

To a degree. Without it, in reality, I’m not sure I would of coped at all. Anyone planning on quitting TRT cold turkey is bonkers. No way I could of dealt with it. I was up and down alot on Nolva. Now it’s pretty much cleared from my system, I’m feeling alot more stable, but it’s all just time as the body transitions off TRT. But without it, like I said, it would of been undoable for me. I had 2 x where I cried with my GF over rediculous things, I was happy one min, annoyed the next etc etc, but all in all, nolva was good for me. Very, very good as restart/pct medication imo.

You dunno my whole story bruz, assume as you wish cuzzi.

Nobody is assuming. Damn bruzzz

What symptoms do you attribute to the nolva specifically? I ask because I am contemplating using it for long durations (more than a month) and don’t see many people speak about it’s negative effects. Would love to pick your brain on that. I’m sure some things may be hard to decipher what is causing what but would love to hear.

Fair enough. Everybody is different. There’s been plenty of people stories online that have come out with higher TT AND FT then pre TRT levels after a restart. (only works for ones that had never touched a SERM b4 as far as I can tell.) I wish I went a little longer on the SERM but so be it :call_me_hand:

Yeah as you said, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly. Where do I start. I was contstipated from it. That’s for sure, terrible gas for weeks. Uumm I developed a rash and was itchy as all hell for the first 2 weeks or so. Scratch yourself in the shower for example, like a mad man, all red n stuff :rofl:. Not really many other negative effects. Slight mood swings I guess, but it could of just been to my body transitioning /adjusting to producing natural T again. If you are using it on cycle? I say it would be ok… My liver levels on my restart were good. So it’s not as toxic as dome think. It wasn’t for me anyway, but I wasn’t on a high dose 20mg ED

My restart wasn’t as long as it should of been. About 4 weeks 20mg a day. And 2 weeks of 20mg EOD, then out to E3D. I didn’t “REALLY” finish it off properly, silly I know but I’d had enough of it, and thought, I want all drugs out now and go from there. I was using anastrozole on my restart also as my e2 would skyrocket from nolva. I didn’t have that issue on TRT

@sa22c
Thank you for that info. Much appreciated

@oz_dude brother. How are you doing? You’re the original OP. I’ve gotten confused with @zsub154 thinking he was the op lol. So there has been 3 of us coming off TRT. How are you faring?

Nws, anything else just ask away :+1:

Cool well that’s awesome I wish you luck. I’ve only heard of the opposite, but I also haven’t dug around looking for results. Only when folks have issues do they post here. Good luck

Funny cunt. I would get bloods now, or in a week or 2 whilst on the Nolva. See if its doing what it’s suppose to for you. If it is, then taper off (I’ve read tapering off isn’t such a big deal, the med will self taper, but can’t hurt, I did a pretty minor taper over 2 weeks, after 4 weeks at 20mg a day. If you’ve read all posts here, you would of seen :+1:), so taper off if you wish and get bloods in a month - 3 months after, and see how your body is doing on its own. That’s what I’m doing anyway.

It is very much a minority what I’m talking about, buttt I hope I’m in that group, time will tell :call_me_hand:

Any idea why I’d be getting transient pain in one of my nipples? I’m on nolva so assume gyno shouldn’t be an issue.

Mate I’m hoping you can give me some advice specific to current situation. I jacked up the HCG for a month after stopping Test then jumped onto Nolva 40/40/20 and had my bloods drawn.
TT - 3.2 nmol/L (8.3 - 29)
FT - 48 pmol/L (255 - 725)
LH - IU/L 2.0 ( <7 )

What should I do? Continue with the nolva and hope LH levels raise and in turn raise my test or start over again. I feel like absolute garbage.

Hope you can point me in the right direction.
