Well, I still love Stevie Wonder, but I wish people would not interject their politics into entertainment. For crying out loud, Stand your ground wasn’t even the defense or the law in question on the Zimmerman trial. With or without the existence of SYG laws, Zimmerman would have gotten off on self defense.
So he is tacitly protesting something that was not even a factor in a verdict he did not like.

he George Zimmerman investigation was hijacked “in a number of ways” by outside forces, said the former police chief of Sanford, Florida.

Bill Lee, who testified Monday in Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial, told CNN’s George Howell in an exclusive interview that he felt pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice.

Personally, I think the overreach was done on purpose. People wanted revenge and wanted blood so they said “OK, we’ll charge him with murder, happy now?” Knowing full well there was no way the murder charge would stick.

What scares me about this thing is the call for action by people to the government to get this guy on something, anything despite the law the constitution or any other basis for our rule of law. With Eric Holder talking about taking on state’s SYG laws and trying to bring Zimmerman up on Federal charges, just because people are mad. To me that is scary if they follow through. To me, it says if you make an enemy of people in the government, they will use their power to overreach, circumvent the rule of law and the constitution, and do anything necessary to fill their emotional niche.

The problem is, like it or not, the guy didn’t break the law. You can’t go around making shit up to punish him because the current laws weren’t broken.

These people who are truly pissed about the verdict and truly want something done about it, should get themselves an old fashion lynch mob, kill Zimmerman and let his blood be on their hands. See if that makes them feel better. Let them face the law rather than trying to make it something it’s not.

It’s ok to protest, it’s ok to be mad, it’s ok to think justice has not been served. It’s not ok to change, manipulate, or retroactively bend laws to suit your personal passion.

My personal observation is that many of the protester’s goals are trying to turn this into a race thing. Since both were minorities, the task is not so easy.

Meh, I’ll still listen to his old stuff and I don’t want steve near a gun anyway. So…do you Mr. Wonder…do you.

This is the only evidence needed for Zimmerman to be convicted in the Black Community.

Fixed that for you.

Thanks.

Zimmerman, I don’t see he technically violated any laws on the books other than violating Martin’s right to travel unmolested, Martin was doing nothing wrong and was followed in the first place for being black, which is apparently good enough equivocation for suspicion in Florida for some reason.

I don’t get you guys. You cry about having to be checked out by TSA on something like a flight, but you are okay with a neighborhood watch civilian messing around with a 17 year old which lead to him getting shot… You don’t even need a badge to do it, and you have to wonder if it would have even gone as far as Martin being followed if he were a white kid. Too bad none of us are fortune tellers.

You guys are all part of the same toolbox. Yeah, I mean it. Most of you don’t deserve to listen to Stevie. He doesn’t need eyes to understand this is a bunch of bullshit, he’s lived through worse times, and is doing what he feels is right.

The facts of the case clearly show that Martin had a hand in his own demise. I think Zimmerman acted excessively and should not have allowed the situation to escalate like it did. But this is not a case of somebody who was minding their own business getting blindsided. The media spin on this was so bad that the facts were hard to glean, but there were no innocent parties here.

I love Stevie’s music but he is an ignorant moron with this move. Uh are you also not going to play in the other 15 states that have the same law? Why punish the fans in the entire state when the decision came down to 8 women basically? Just a hollow attempt at making a statement by another celebrity.

After getting stopped by the police for the umpteenth time he kind of put two and two together.

It’s called white people problems. They worry about “Big Brother” violating their rights but don’t care about some borderline Brown Shirt doing the same thing to black kids. The satellite up in space watching them take a dump is a problem. The wannabe armed superhero (who can’t fight his way out of a paper bag)living next door who is terrorizing children of color isn’t.

See, the problem is Martin was visiting his pops and fiance. Martin was where he was supposed to be, he had every right to be there and not be trifled with, as he was doing nothing wrong. Zimmerman racially profiled Martin, as before Martin incident he had called police on other occasions it had been black males looking into vacant houses… He saw Martin, assumed it was a black male up to no good which in itself was enough to call the cops (bullshit) and harassed him (also bullshit).

Sorry, but if some neighborhood watch douche confronted you on your own property/community, called the cops on you because you are white, (because a white serial killer had just killed someone in the community weeks earlier) would it even make sense for that person to call the cops based on you being white? You weren’t caught snooping around or acting bizarre, just a white boy walking home with some fava beans and Chianti…

Well, what do you think happened? Zimmerman saw an unfamiliar black guy outside, called the cops based on him being black… Then, took it upon himself to go out and be Mr. Big time neighborhood watch and confront Martin, at which point he may have rightly gotten his ass kicked for messing with someone for no reason. That’s a universal reason to get your ass kicked/ messing with someone for no reason, you should expect it…

He’s such a weakling he let a 17 year old kid handle him. Instead of taking his licks, he got a busted nose and probably would have ended up with a few more scrapes and bruises, except he had a pistol.

You all know damned well if Martin were your son, you would see it differently.
You know what I would do if a “creepy ass cracka” was stalking me?

A few yards from my home?

I would go home and call the police.
I do not belive you , Sorry:)
Well, maybe I would just go home.
What if he cornered you?
Sounds like what trayvon did

Deck him and then go home.
Sounds like what Trayvon did, except Trayvon went to his home in the Sky

And who should have been the one we expected to use good judgement? The 17 year old kid, who didn’t set events in motion in the first place, or the armed adult who dreamed of being a cop? If someone is incapable of handling responsibly the power of life and death that a gun brings with it, then that person should not be carrying one.

IT is so simple , Zimmerman hunted Martin , Caught him, Got his ass whipped the Shot his quarry. It does not get any simpler

Quite frankly, Stevie Wonder can be as retarded as he wants to be.

There are so many people with no discernable talent who could not find their ass with a map and a handlight, he has earned some leeway.

Case in point:

Hey…did you see Stevie Wonder’s new piano?

Neither did he.
