Any Aussies watch the game last night?
I was there and glad I didn’t leave with 10 minutes to go like a couple of my mates did!

As a NSW supporter I was disgusted.
It must have been damn hard playing on that ice skating rink that melbourne tried to pass off as a rugby field, but NSW didnt play well.
They started off hard, but by the second half they looked like they had forgotten how to run forward. There was no momentum from them at all.
And that pass. Damn, I hate it that we lost because of one stupid pass. Grothe was both the hero and the villian of the night.
Oh well, we had to lose one eventually I guess.

yeh man,turned into a real nailbiter,and i thought we were home n hosed!dammit!im a nsw transplanted recently to gold coast,but yr boyds earned it,bloody entertaining second half

The surface has been pathetic since they opened it in 2000. They just can’t get it right.
The AFL players say that it is really hard too. They think it is because of the concrete only being 4 or so feet under the surface.
I just think they need to look into it a bit more.
The Stadium is cool but the surface really lets it down though. The other thing that lets it down is the fact that it is corporate football at it’s worst.
10 minutes before kick off all the bottom and top stands were full. 1 minute after kick off all the ‘suits’ come out of the corporate functions and make their way onto the second floor to see what this “League” game is all about.

Can’t write Queensland off can you? They love the underdog tag!
A crappy game that NSW shouldn’t have won anyway. They didn’t play well at all and it was only the refs calls that kept them in the game.
I’m a Blues supporter but we just didn’t deserve it.
The QLD win might even result in greater enthusiasm for the series next year.
I gotta agree that surface was shit. Hard underneath, slippery on top. All the afl players don’t like playing there. I doubt there will be another origin in “the dome”
I thought that we were gonna be robbed by a ref the way the socceroo’s were but no, do not ever write off a queenslander!!!
