Starting Daily Anastrozole. I Don't Care What You Say

What’s the evidence showing testosterone increases prolactin? To my knowledge, which I admit is incomplete, only 19nors have a reputation for that.

Anyway, bodybuilders and strength athletes do indeed run up to a gram or more of test, and some even without any AI (not me - I wish).

On trt my prolactin is a few points above range. Dr said no worries

Same with me. Has never been an issue. Just a number on a lab.

We had a guy in our group with tanked T levels and prolactin through the roof. Took 200mg a week of T, serum levels came up, and prolactin decreased significantly.

So some people report slightly elevated prolactin from testosterone, and others report a decrease. This sounds to me like homeostasis. That’s just my conjecture, and it’s not scientific, but still. Seriously high levels of prolactin that cause sexual sides and true gyno is just not caused by testosterone to my knowledge. That’s stuff like trenbolone and nandralone.

Anyway I don’t know what “dirty” is supposed to mean. No, you don’t have to manage E2 aromatization if you’re blasting a gram of boldenone or methenolone (except to mitigate their inherent AI-like properties), which is why some guys do just that with TRT or moderately blasted Test.

Holy shit you drank the kool aid.

For me it also increased it. I think it has something to do with shutting down the pituitary gonadotropins

Yeah, mine went up too. I was always above range though. Haven’t decided whether to try to do anything about it. I’m at about double the “high normal” value now. Refractory period still kind of sucks so I dunno, might eventually try lowering it and see what happens.

Using caber?

If you decide to try to manipulate it, don’t go right to cabergoline - that’s a serious drug. You can supplement with P5P instead.

I have some caber but haven’t tried it. Going to try p5p first and see what happens.

Pre TRT I tried caber and even a small dose had my prolactin bottomed out so I’ll have to take a really small amount I think if I do try it. I’m also concerned it lists anxiety as a possible side effect so doesn’t seem like a good thing to add n when I’ve been having panic attacks out of nowhere lately

Will do

It is because of your aromatisation to estrogen, which indirectly increase prolactin.

Talk to the mirror.

Nand only increase prolactin when coupled with test.

Nand alone decrease prolactin, testosterone increase prolactin, in every study controlling for it so far.

Nonsense. Sheer, absolute utter demonstrably false nonsense. My prolactin was sky high before starting T with E2 of 12. Now with E2 of 60 I’m in range. Several guys in our group had prolactin levels drop significantly after raising testosterone.

@equel I crown thee King of Bro-Science. I have ordered you a crown on Amazon. Just let me know where to send it.

Please post this research of yours, King Bro-Science.

Can I just call you King BS for short?

Everything you talk about involves high doses and synthetic anabolics. When you take steroid cycle doses of drugs, all bets are off as your body will become a hormonal mess.

5600 men in my group on TRT and prolactin issues are RARE. How is this possible, King BS?

Why don’t you hang out in the pharma section instead?

Any studies or something to prove this?

I was waiting to see the study that he’d provide, because I aleady know which one it would be, but I’ll beat him to the punch. The study he saw showed than when you raise estradiol in rats, their prolactin levels went up.

Here’s the thing: NONE of us are raising estradiol directly. We are raising TESTOSTERONE which will in turn raise estradiol. When sufficient androgens are present, prolactin won’t just start going up. We just don’t see it. Prolactin issues are typically reported by men with insufficient androgens.

He refers to studies that he skims through and doesn’t even understand the context.
