I’ve been Spiking it up regularly now for about a month and still digging it. i find the buzz gets smoother each time its taken, but the effects remain the same. This is still with just one capsule a day dosage.
So far i’m not thrilled. I haven’t noticed much of an effect with 1 capsule, and with two I was super moody the entire day for each day I took 2. It was almost as if they had an opposite effect on me. I will post more about this at a later time after I finish the entire bottle.
I just started taking mine today. I only took one and barely noticed a thing. When I’m drunk, I have this tendency to clean up. Like if I’m at home, I’ll just start cleaning the house. I noticed I felt the same way a bit with Spike. But I only felt that way for a little while (30 mins or so).
I’ll try 2 tomorrow and see what happens.
I’m starting to think that I typically don’t respond easily to any kind of stimulants. For example, Power Drive, everybody and their brother loves it, but whenever I take it (and I’ve taken a lot, probably gone through 3 bottles or so since it came out) I don’t notice a thing. No mental clarity, no focus, nothing.
I can feel a difference slightly with one pill, but the real noticable effect comes from taking two. Im in a really good mood (like just finished finals good mood) for about 30 min after taking it then it levels out. Ive been taking two pills before I work out in the mornings and they wake me right up.
Has anybody had problems with what appears to be the yellow coating keeping at cooler than room temp? Its a strange thing. Ive air dried them and theyre still wet… hmmm…
Cool product otherwise!
I’ve been on Spike about a month as well. It does a great job for me with just one pill. I’m not as tired and it is much easier to focus.
The times I have taken two have worked even better. However, like a few have posted, I can be a little moody. It is like things set me off faster than normal. Of course, this actually worked out well a couple of times.
I’ve decided to stick with one pill at a time. There have been some times when several hours later I’ll take a second and that seems to work fine. This really helps if I’m really tired and have a meeting or more work to do.
I think there are some people who are simply non-responders to stimulants and eugeroics. I take Power Drive… I don’t really “notice” anything, but the price is so good that I use it on the theory that it helps me without me being consciously aware of the effects.
I can’t comment on Spike yet, as I haven’t given it a fair shake. I can say that I’ve tried modafanil before, and wasn’t any more “awake” than usual… so I wonder if I simply don’t respond well to these kinds of drugs/supplements.
I require two pills of Spike to reap any real benefit. Different people respond differently. I could probably take four without serious negative effects.
I have taken HOT-ROX and Spike in the same day, four or more hours apart. This is generally considered a bad idea, but I’m so tolerant to this kind of stuff that it didn’t cause me any issues. Of course, that’s something I do only occasionally; I would never do that on a daily basis.
I don’t know guys, I’ve been taking 2 a day for a month and I’m not sure I feel any different. I definitely don’t feel a buzz like you guys describe. The only thing different is I have no desire for morning coffee anymore. This lack of desire isn’t because I’m jacked up or anything, it just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. After I stop using it I’ll decide once and for all if I feel anything. BTW the only side effect I feel from M1T are minor headaches.
I’ve been taking 1 pill for like 3 wks and I really don’t have that ‘buzz’ feeling some of you describe. What I really noticed was that I don’t need to take nap anymore. I stay up in class like never before. For me, it’s like caffine pill, but when I take caffine pill I get all nervous and can’t really focus and this doesn’t do that, so this is good.
I am planning to take 2 pills on the weekend and see if that will make a difference. Hopefully, I can too experience THE BUZZ.
I did 1 capsule for about 4 days, not sure what effect it had. Then I started doing 2 per day.
My productivity at work has gone through the roof. I even stay awake easily at late afternoon meetings that are real snoozers.
I don’t feel any buzz. I am just more focused and seem to be able to keep going on task. I also hold more things in my short term to-do queue so I’m much busier and getting more done without losing the thread of things.
The only real side effect for me is my sleep is weird. I definitely remember more dreams and some of them go on for multiple chapters if I wake up just a bit to turn over or something.
But I don’t feel over-tired and I’m getting almost 8 hrs each night.
I am also a tennis player and I’m finding that I am much more aware of my concentration level and how well and how long I am seeing the ball. I think for a while I haven’t been doing either very well. That is improving and I can consciously make myself focus better.
So far, thumbs up for Spike. What are the long term effects? Am I going to get addicted?
Just a suggestion but the people who get moody on 2 pills why dont you eat first then take them, food dosent affect total absorption, but it will slow it down, so maybe that will help.
I’m glad someone else said three… I didn’t want to be in the bonehead brigade alone. I take three and thats the perfect dose for me. It gives me a subtle rise within twenty minutes of taking it where I can feel a smile creep across my face. After that I just feel real good, upbeat, ready for action, like even if I had to shovel horseshit for a few hours I’d be whistling a tune…down to get the job done!
I’ve gone through about a bottle and 1/2 so far. My favorite split is 2-3 on mon/wed/friday(when I have classes&lift) and 1-2 on all other days. I’ll simply say that it does what it’s intended to do for me.
However, after taking it for a little over a month I’ve noticed that on the days I don’t take it I can pretty much sleep all day long ie. 10-12 hrs at night and a couple 2-3 hour naps. I also feel like I’m dragging ass all day. For this reason I won’t take it ed for an entire week any more. Instead I’ll use some HOT-ROX or pregnenolone (thanks TT).
As far as it’s affects in the weight room they’ve been decent but nothing extreme. My dilema is that I lift late so I have to time my Spike for say 4:30 to lift at 8ish and not lay in bed starring at my ceiling all night. 3 caps at once is pretty intense though and I’m sure it would make for a decent workout if I could lift earlier in the day. 2 is pretty much all I ever need though unless it’s a real busy day.
BTW the increased sociability (sp) is definitely present when I’m on it and has seemed to carry over somewhat now that I realize the typical outcome of being more friendly/sociable. This part has given me definite advantages in a number of areas.
not to be a Biotest fanboy, but i’m glad more people have posted liking it.
its finals week (quarter system) and all of my friends have been borrowing some. my friend pulled an all nighter, then Spiked before his test and told me he felt as though he got a full night’s rest.
in response to wideguy, i think when one is taking Spike they have to consciensciously make sure they get enough sleep. it seems that because one feel fine one can forget that he/she only got a little sleep the night before. i’ve had the same experience with wanting to sleep all day.
…also, to the T-Nation staff, we’re all still waiting on the article to tell us how Spike works
