Weight only down slightly, but measures improving. I will say though, after eating Chinese food Friday, I ballooned up to 204.4 yesterday morning, so being back down 3# was a relief lol. Week 2 was spent on vacation, so the macro entries were rough estimations with no scale or measures, but the other 2 weeks at home should be accurate. Here are the macros I have logged:
Biggest noticeable change for me has been performance, definitely feeling stronger and more aggressive in the gym. I have gotten stronger at every lift in the program so far. Overall energy levels, sleep and sex drive still going strong, and not getting overly hungry at any point. Just got MicroPA, RezV, elitepro minerals, to add to my stack along with Metabolic Drive, and of course my new favourite Surge. Looking forward to the next phase and continued progress @Christian_Thibaudeau
It should actually be a bit harder, but on the bright side, it will be more beneficial for biceps and has the added benefit of improving external shoulder rotation mobility.
No lie: I was too excited for the snatches, but havenāt done them for awhile. On about the third rep, I shot my head through the hole too fast before punching up, and smacked myself on the forehead. Kept plowing on and was fine, but explaining this forehead bruise at work has been a lot of fun lol.
Years ago I was teaching the split jerk to a young athlete. I wanted to convey the idea that he had to āshove the bar as fast as humanly possibleā, but I only had the bar (I could jerk 375 and push press 315 back then). And I punched myself straight under the chin!!!
I swear to God that I now know what it is to be punched by Mike Tyson!
I felt really rough the end of last week: tendon aches and pains, low energy and mood, sleep wa really bad Thursday and Friday. Eased up the calorie restriction back to maintenance for a couple days, and felt somewhat better today. Moved heavier weights, the push press felt smoother, but pretty exhausted by the end, probably 9/10 RPE. Still within a couple minutes of my average time despite more weight. Scale hasnāt budged for me, but I FEEL leaner most of the time. Find myself feeling a bit water logged and bloated most days, but Iām also drinking about a gallon of water a day with all the surge. As intense as the program is, I was thinking of taking a week at maintenance calories to get back to feeling right.
Forgot to ask @Christian_Thibaudeau but should I be counting Surge in my daily carb count? I have been doing so and figured that was how I was supposed to do it, but wanted to double check.
Yes you should count the carbs in Workout Fuel. Granted, the body doesnāt store and use it like ānormal carbsā but from a caloric balance standpoint they still count.
I was able to increase the weights again on this workout and finished a few minutes faster than last week. However, I did also hit complete grip failure by the end, I was so smoked by the time I hit chin holds and dead hangs that I could only complete 1-130m on each.
To end this week Iām feeling pretty roughā¦like ādo I need TRT?ā Rough lol. Energy lower, mood and sex drive lower, focus in the gym lower. My new job is completely stress free, especially compared to my Covid frontline job of the past 3 yrs. I feel bad because getting in a workout is all I have energy for, and playing with my 2 toddler boys in the late afternoon is difficult to even get myself going. Been Getting plenty of sleep, in bed by 930 and waking up without an alarm by 6. Added RezV back into my stack and ordered Carbolin 19 also. Last time I used RezV this past spring for 90 days my T went from 603 to 675. Hoping that and Carbolin19 can give me a boost. The scale still hasnāt budged this week, but havenāt done any body measurements. Feeling a bit flat and waterlogged also.
Iām going to delay tomorrowās workload until later in the day to try and recover more. Will plan on eating at baseline calories tomorrow also. Been adding in 4-6 cups of veggies per day, and having better BMs and a little less bloat overall, but today is the roughest I have felt so far in this program.
