Here is the link I got these pics from…
Awesome…thank you for taking the time to post them.
I am glad they are under control now, they got to about 7 miles away from me. Too close for comfort.

26 is bad ass and 38 is hilarious
Holy crap! Great pics. That one where the 2 people are hugging is sad. They probably lost their house.
Oh I almost forgot, Governor Schwarzenegger was serving bowls of cream of wheat to the firefighters “so they get all pumped up for the next fight out there with those fires.” Uh, not sure what Arnold is doing to add protein to the cream of wheat, since typical it is low in protein.
The one where the guys are watching from their roof puzzles me. With the fires that close, I would get the hell outta Dodge.

It is sad, over 250 miles burned, 2 firemen killed, all courtesy of some idiot arsonist.

A few people tried to stay, since they had marijuana growing in their home and didn’t want to be arrested for it. Firefighters found a couple of marijuana grow houses.

If I saw this I would just want to stare in awe.
Anyone who goes into those fires to fight them, is amazing. I can’t imagine the courage it takes to be a firefighter. We run away and they run IN. Simply awe-inspiring.
7 miles away too close? back in the '03 fires, or was it '06? I can’t remember, but one of them was literally 100 feet out my back door. When they finally let us back into the neighborhood, we went to our house and there was nothing but scorched earth once you got 100 feet out. it came right up to a big old oak tree and, stopped right under it. Good thing it didn’t go up.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuck. Someone’s gonna have to foam roll that entire area.

A handful of them have been hospitalized for heat exhaustion or other injuries, it has to be hell fighting a fire when it is over 100 degrees here.
Thx for these pics
I remember when camp pendleton was on fire in 2007 I didnt go to work for a week
