Someday, We Might Just Listen to What They Say about Themselves...

Racism is the belief that race is a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

According to the United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination.

An ethnic group is a group of people whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage that is real or assumed. This shared heritage may be based upon putative common ancestry, history, kinship, RELIGION, language, shared territory, nationality or physical appearance.

A 2007 article in Journal of Sociology defines Islamophobia as anti-Muslim racism and a continuation of anti-Asian and anti-Arab racism. (Scott Poynting, Victoria Mason (2007). “The resistible rise of Islamophobia”. Journal of Sociology 43 (1): 61Ã?¢??86.)

Conclusion : You guys are a bunch of racist…
Islam is a religion shared by people of ALL ethnic backgrounds . . . if racism is defined as hating a particular ethnic group, your conclusion is a fail.
Read the definition of ethnic group, try to understand it, realize your are a racist and then post again.
I’m gonna help you a bit since you seem slow. People adhering to the same religion = an ethnic group.

still having trouble with that reading thing, aren’t you?

there’s only one race . . …the human race . . .

I am opposed to a particular religion, not its members - if they forswear the use of violence and the effort to establish global Islamic rule - I’m perfectly happy to let them exist in perfect harmony. but since they have clearly been a violent religion since their inception, and since their clearly see the use of violence as a legitimate religious activity (again since their inception), am I a racist for simply pointing at their actions and saying watch out for these guys, they might try to kill you?

Am I a racist for taking them at their word?

Am I a racist for assuming that when they say “Death to Americans” that they might actually mean it?

Am I a racist for being concerned about a religion that will not allow any other religion to exist?

Am I a racist for watching them behead a journalist and wondering if they might want to do that to more of us?

Am I a racist for watching them fly airplanes filled with innocent people into buildings filled with innocent people and being concerned that they will continue to find new ways of killing us?

Am I racist for watching them indoctrinate three year old babies that Jews are pigs and apes and calling that action racists?

Am I racist for listening to them describe how it is good and right to beat your wife to make her obedient and subservient to a man and calling that sexist and abusive?

Am I a racist for listening to them describe the wholesale slaughter of another ethnic group as a means of pleasing their god and calling that racism?

Am I a racist for watching them indoctrinate their children into believing that dying as a suicide bomber while killing another ethnic group simply for existing and calling that barbaric and racist?

You need to check yourself . . . if your defending the true racists, what does that make you?

There’s only one race the human race. This I agree, its in fact a fact. There is no scientific or genetic basis for race in human.

Now if you are opposed to a particular religion, not its members; then no you are not a racist. Still you seem to believe that all muslims are violent and want to establish global islamic rule wich is not true. Remember that Christians too had some bloody moments in history. That doesn’t mean they were all violent.

I don’t have to believe that all Muslims are violent to believe that Islam is a religion of violence and hatred. Someone else can school you on lack of moral equivalency between a religion founded on love and a religion founded on hate . . .

Must be cool today in hell because I’m agreeing with Irish, but this quote goes to the gist of it. The analogy would be to gang members. Most people have a legitimate fear of gang members - I know I do. Does that make me racist because the gang members happen to be black, Latino, or in some cases Asian? No, because it’s not the race that I fear; it’s the association with a gang which is generally violent. If a white guy were part of the gang, I’d be afraid of him too. I’ve had friends of all races, and the best man at my wedding was my best friend from college, who happened to be Asian. Same, too, is a person’s association with Islam, which preaches violence against “infidels.” Some people claim that it’s only the extremists within Islam who preach this, but I no longer think that this is the case. It seems there are many extremist adherents within the religion. What other religion uses the term “jihad” or “holy war” in modern times? Sure, Christianity had the Crusades in the Middle Ages, which was a form of holy war, but that is no longer the case. But the concept of jihad is very much within the modern culture of Islam.

Joey, Joey, Joey, you are reading into the “ethnic” definition things that are not there.

You have fallen into the insidious trap of trusting Wikipedia for all of life’s answers.

Try Brittanica, bon ami. ethnic group | Britannica

And try this

Just for you push:

Your argument falls apart in the face of the fact that Islam is a religion and not a race.

But thanks for playing.

Thanks, but I bought it a while ago. Bargain table at Blockbuster. Just haven’t gotten around to watching it yet.
Edit: My daughter just reminded me that we actually got this one at a dollar store, not that it really matters.
