Actually, my level is raging!! My doctor figured out that, when I got hit with a football there many years ago, it actually injured ‘the boys’.
That may be why a soccer ball is round; less likely to to get the old ‘nose job’ as yours truly.
Tell you what — compare the readings on a Nose Tackle or any lineman on just about any American adult football team with ANY soccer player in the world. Guess what readings you’d get?
actually the problem with soccer in the US versus overseas is soccer overseas has always been a middle to lower class sport. Hell people in england used to be able to be on the dole and go to soccer/football games. In the U.S. its an upper middle class sport.
for an interesting read on this go read Offside: Soccer and American Exceptionalism. Its very interesting to see how the professional sports of soccer, football, and baseball all developed in the US and versus other countries and why soccer is never likely to catch on as big as them
as for rugby…please I am sure there are plenty of rugby players out there but to say its as hard to get into the welsh/irish/french rugby team as it is to get into the brazilian soccer team is down right lunacy.

Are you seriously that ignorant? I assume you are referring to Zidane, one of the most gifted players of his generation.
we play to win.
And I doubt that any team gets ready for a game and says “You know what, I think I’ll just aim for a tie today.” Of course you play to win, that’s the point.
The soccer players were celebrating a TIE! Sure, that meant they got to go on in the tournament, but they were whooping it up over a TIE! “Wow, we fought the Nazis to a TIE!! High fives everybody!!” Pathetic…

Final game of the NFL or NHL season, you’re tied for the last play-off spot, but you’d lose the tie-break on head-to-head games.
Your final game ends in a tie game and you make the playoffs for the first time in four years (world cup is only played ever four years)… are you telling me that you don’t celebrate?
It’d be one thing if you made reasonable, logical, rational, or at all defensible arguments to support your point… but you’re just being more and more ridiculous.
BTW the USA isn’t a world power because of testosterone… it’s because of BRAIN POWER (i.e. technology); which in turn leads to money.
Who else were world powers? England, France, Russia, Germany… they’re all soccer-playing nations.
If you just want to say that you think that soccer players are wimps, that’s fine… just say so without coming-up with some kind of rediculous pretext to support your claim.

Ah, it was all in fun anyway.
Also, I think the Chinese are far more intelligent than just about any other group in the world, followed by the Japanese and Koreans. Asian people are simply smarter than the rest of us.
If they had not had a lousy geography, they’d probably have gone through their industrial revolution in the 1400’s under the Ming, and would now dominate the planet. Hard to do when hoards of nomads keep fucking with you, though.
One nice thing that about soccer is that you don’t have to be a genetic freak as you do in say football and basketball. Smallish 5 foot 9 guys can do very well in soccer. As for the whole testosterone issue, you are full of shit.
I do imagine nutritional differences, which heavily impact size and height might have a lot to do with it. Genetics relating to size probably also have an effect, you don’t really see many non-nordic peoples comepting in the world’s strongest man competition.
