What sport do you play?
Seriously, I played varsity full back for couple years and it got pretty ugly and rough. All depends on how you play the game, you can play like a pussy or play aggressively and doul out the punishment
wait a second…Varsity?
Varsity is term used in high school sports to differentiate starters from practice squads. Likewise at university level. For example I did indoor hammer weight at university and to make the “varsity” team for track and field you had to meet a minimum standard in your event.
Like I said depends on how you play it, but soccer is def one of the rougher sports aside from say football and rugby. I also played basketball in highschool and was very aggressive with rebounding, spilt one guy’s mouth open once pivoting with elbows up after a rebound. He was crowding me and caught hard elbow right in corner of mouth, had to get 32 stitches to fix it fro where his teeth spilt it
IIRC, the consensus was that it’s a match between two second division Saudi Arabian clubs. The player in question was hit on the head and suffered a seizure. He had to go to hospital but lived on and even played again.
Soccer is:
A) The most popular sport in the world
B) Has more money poured through it than any other sport in the world
C) Beautiful
D) In my opinion had more passion behind it than other sports I’ve watched (and I’ve watched a lot)
Calling any sport a real mans sport is stupid, especially when American footballers wear shoulder pads almost as big as they are to protect their sensitive skin from getting a boo boo. At least refer to rugby.
Passionate soccer fans are unfortunately constantly rioting. (Not saying that this doesn’t happen with any other sports, just demonstrating that some people ACTUALLY like soccer.). In fact my English uncle didn’t want England to win the last world cup because the streets and bars would be full of drunken soccer ‘hooligans’.

try rugby, it’s like sprinting a marathon with a ball but every few seconds you have to stop for a wrestling match or a fight.
FTW.
Actually, quite a disturbing video. I’ve seen bodies moving like that for real. Brought back some dark memories.
Oh running around at full pace chasing a ball for 90 minutes might be hard but that doesn’t make it a mans sport.
The fact that there is so many injuries makes it a dangerous sport, not a manly one. Anyway, the average person would most likely not get injured at all playing a pro soccer match. They might suck and be useless, but they would not get injured. Put a average person in a pro nfl, rugby etc game and the chances are they are going to break something.
Also the dives and fake acting they do is so annoying. Acting like a complete pussy whenever you get slightly touched is not manly at all.
I think soccer must be played very differently in the USA than the UK. The higher up the standard the more chance there is of taking a bit of punishment. I think the major difference is that soccer is the 8th (if that) most popular sport in schools, imagine the carnage if you took all the power athletes and threw them into a game. They would kick shit out of each other.

I’m sure you could slit someone’s throat throwing a frisbee. Does that make that a real man’s sport?
You could break a man’s foot dropping a bowling ball on it. Does that make that a real man’s sport?
Ugh. I hate it when people try to beef up soccer.
I find that the people who make fun of it have never played it.
And they never played it because soccer is fucking gay.
You’re right, comparing soccer to running a marathon is exactly the same as comparing wrestling to cuddling my bad, how could I be so foolish?
Soccer is more equivalent to 90 minutes of HIT intervals than to a marathon.
Unless you consider it a marathon like sport in between the sprinting, dribbling, contact, jumping, kicking, darting, and tackling. Then yes, it’s just like a marathon.
That’s why soccer players have the thin frail looking legs of marathon runners.
No offence, but why are you on such a crusade to make everyone like football? If some people don’t like it, and call it gay, then deal with it.
I like the physical portion of the sport, it’s very hard, but professional players are just fucking weak. They take dives, and cry, kick, scream and flail their arms around if they fall. That’s what makes it gay. If you want to watch a good football match, either go to the top amateurs or pro women players. They need to actually play hard for their money, instead of getting 18 million a year to kick a ball around a few times.

How gay is “Mr. Olympia”?
What the hell are you doing on a Bodybuilding website?
Explaining that association football is far less “gay” than walking around almost starkers on stage, covered in oil. It’s a matter of perspective.
Didn’t some NHL player take a really big dive. Correct me if I am wrong…Darcy Tucker? Similar shit happens in all sports. I have played rugby and football and honestly it hurts a hell of a lot more taking a bad tackle in football than taking a tackle in rugby.
