The Mondays have it!
I’ll shut up with the “pathetic.” I’m awesome and I know it.
Why do I feel like a Stuart Smalley sidekick? Please tell me you’re not all too young to know who that is.
Kpsnap, you are good enough, you are smart enough, and dog-gone-it, people like you.
Thank God someone else knows what I’m talking about!
Why did that post twice?
Kimba, Kimba! Where is my little sidekick (same age, same size) with smaller thighs but wonkier knees? Surely you know our friend Stuart Smalley?
a bit late to the party but I also think waiting until Monday will give you something to look forward too.
I also think you are going to find that as you begin the rehab work it will quickly get to teh point where you are able to use it to fullfil your needs for progression and improvement.

SNL, FTW!
Did I really have to trade the knees for the thighs?
P.S. That is a good lookin’ shoulder (and arm) even if it offends.
you have a great point about getting your surgery done now, after the incident at the meet–instead of being able to put it off. You shall return! and the rest will do you quite well i predict

x2
I think Monday too, but keep in mind its not your last training session ever. Treat it like I’ll see you later, not good bye.
So. It was supposed to be upper body day. But I needed to work off some frustration and bicep curls doesn’t cut it for that. So I just did some random lower body stuff.
Squat
10/45
10/65
8/75
5/85
5/95
5/105
3/110
3/115
3/120
2/125
2/130
2/135
1/140
1/145
5/95
10/45 pause ATG
Hyperextension with 25-lb. Plate
8/25
Leg Extension (single Leg Alternating Each Rep)
2/10/45
Deadlifts (shouldn’t have been doing these)
8/135
5/155
1/175
1/195 stopped here 'cause no belt
195 deads with a busted shoulder?! Snap, you’re scarin me. We are going to need to tie you down woman.
Tie me down? Or tie me up? The latter sounds significantly more appealing to me.
damn, woman. you gonna leave that arm on the floor of the gym and will need arm re-attachment instead of the shoulder muscle…chill out, would-ya? ![]()
So, what is the reasoning for 195 being OK without a belt but more weight needs a belt? I ask because, as you know, I am still struggling with the question of belt or no belt.

i have my own answer for this but i’d love to hear snaps.
mine is that above a certain weight, it gets heavy enough that i forget to push out and keep my stomach that way unless i have the belt there to remind me. thinking more about hips back, elbows down, spread the floor. and sometimes i need that stuff yelled at me, as well. I think Pegg and Tate had me put mine on at 225.
but im pretty sure snap may have a better handle on squatting than i do.
Oh, not for squats. I’m nowhere near needing a belt for my squat weights. My belt issue is for the deadlifts.
But CBear, I take your point. On both squats and deads I regularly forget about pushing out because I’m trying to so desperately to get the other form pieces right.
I also vote on tying Snap up. And then for being insolent, spankings. Now what Ms. Snap?
Agreed completely on remembering everything that goes into the lifts - its interesting that the belt can act more as a mental cue. Makes sense.
Aside from your gorgeous biceps, I can’t believe the scenery in that pic! Is that your back yard? And there are trees everywhere! I can’t imagine what that’s like.

This is relevant to my interests.
