Smolov... Everything?

Dude, how is that nescesary?
Wow, I share a passion with you guys, and try to see what others think about the training I am thinking of doing and get insulted for no good reason.

Dont act like a ass just because you are behind a keyboard.
Asshole. Completely unrelated to the topic in question and irrelevant.

No need to be rude, what so ever. This is meant to be a community is it not? Treat others as you wish to be treated.

Don’t lecture ME about the “community” here. You’ve less than 20 posts, and from what I’ve seen they’re talking to no-one but yourself.

You comment about weightlifting shoes was down right dumb. And now in this topic everyone’s getting your life story.

I won’t be replying to that PM that you sent me attacking me either.

It would appear that you crave attention. May I suggest “hot or not”?

Tell you want, next time you see me rambling on in random topics about myself and telling everyone all about me, while just throwing out ideas that seem to have not been though thru in any way, then feel free to insult me about it.

real smolov base won’t work like how you want it to in the other lifts, its designed specifically for the squat and there is a reason for that. The squat can take that kind of grueling volume, its over training you don’t want to do that often.

I highly doubt if you use your REAL maximum you will not be able to do perform perfect form on the lifts-especailly deadlift- and you wont get the desired results you want in strength.

Smolov Jr however, i think is a better plan to use for the other lifts as it has shown to work well in bench and I’m sure would work better in the other lifts.

Also doing this all back to back seems silly, I would take at least one week maybe two before going another over training cycle of any sort.

Anyways thats what it seems like on paper I wouldn’t do it, but experimenting with your body is the best way to find what works for you. If you do try it just be aware of how your body is reacting, don’t try and push yourself too much as it will just cause an injury. Good luck with it if you try it be interesting none the less.

Edit: also smolov jr is MUCH easier compared to real smolov base meso, and intense meso. I would try base meso in the squat using atg squat maximum and see how your results are.

Seriously, I have EVERY right to lecture you, if you feel you have the right to insult me for nothing.

You dont come from out of nowhere and attack people for no good reason.

Just because you have 3000 posts, does not give you any sort of status above mine.

I was trying to get some feedback on some ideas for my training.
That does not warrant you to insult me. Not in any way, shape or form.

You simply have no right, to insult me seeing as I was being very polite, and if you dont agree with my thoughts on training, you tell me in a civilized manner and if you still dont agree you have to agree to disagree, you do NOT have any right to insult me.

Good post. I’ve been caught before by programs LOOKING easy, but then being VERY bloody hard once I got a few weeks thru em.

Oh wow… how very empowering and self righteous of you. You can rant, piss and moan alllll you want. But the more wound up you get, the funnier this becomes for me.

And my posts DO give me status over you. It’s called credibility.

If anyone has any information or links to logs of people using smolov for any lifts other than back squats, please post a link, I am searching on google and this forum.

Deadlift smolov - I’ve seen talks of it, but no log.

What do you think about using smolov JR for the full clean?

Im just thinking cleans up to 9 reps? Especially when fatigued. Could be quite easy to become injured. I dont like to go over 5 reps with my snatch or cleans.

But I wonder what sort of results one could get.

Hanley is one of the post constructive posters here. BY FAR, he has helped me, and given good advice to many other posters on these forums. You need to cut it a break. I realise you went post-happy and got called out on it, but relax.

seriously.

Hi mate
I did nothing wrong to warrant that comment he made, I was just joining in on some of the threads and posting some of my views and experiences whilst being very polite.
His post count does not give him a right, to insult me.

I am interested in your views on smolov for cleans though mate.

this is true, but cleans are also done more like singles in clusters then actual sets.

So you would take say, 5 to 10 seconds rest between each rep?

I have never heard of it being done, I think it would be too taxing as clean is almost always done in low reps-form is the biggest issue, as it will get bad as you begin to fatigue-

Look around there are MANY olympic lifting programs to help improve the clean and snatch that have been proven to work much better. Smolov Jr was designed as an easier version of base meso, to maybe see if you would want to try the real thing-and is now widely used as bench program since people have found good results with it, I’m actually going to try it for bench soon-

More then anything with the full clean it comes down to technique in a lot of ways, that will help give you a better full clean to most lifters.

More like 2-3.

setup
clean
drop
setup
clean
drop
etc

Thanks man. But that doesn’t matter sure. Cos ya know I’ve no right. NO RIGHT. Besides… I’m Irish. So what do I know? And I have roid rage. Even tho I’ve been DT’d twice in the last year.

Now… back to the incessent questions about things that are never going to be put into practice!!
