Size Matters

Monday February 13

Squat
bar-10
115-5
155-3
183-2
205-8x1
205-2x5 add belt (2 rep PR) This wasn’t planned but I felt pretty strong with the beltless singles. The video is the last set. Kind of disappointing on the depth.

Bench
bar-10
65-5
93-3
105-1
115-2x1
120-3x1
117.5-3x1
The singles were all supposed to be 120 but I think the squatting killed me.

Ghetto GHR with small band
2x30

DB floor press
25-3x20

Front squat static hold
135
225
start timing
245-12 sec
265-18 sec
295-21 sec
315-11 sec

I feel a tiny bit shorter now. Like last time, I enjoyed those a lot. Last time we went to 285.

Always love your vids. And BB instructing. Yeah, a few squats looked high. But the ones in the middle of the set looked good. You have such a melodic voice. I remember thinking that when I met you.

Nice work
Will peep vids later

That’s a lot p GHR to finish an already big day

Damn fine work Julie. You’re an inspiration.

Look who’s talking Joe. You’re the one that got me thinking seriously about upping the volume and researching new templates.

Great work. How goes the weight gain?

On the HLRs from a few sessions back, why do you do them from that position? I would think that you’ve gone from working your abs to doing more tricep work. But, I have no clue so that’s why I’m asking.

The weight has gone up 4lbs but I think that’s from starting to use creatine so I don’t really count it as actual weight. I should have the new diet together soon.

Regarding the HLRs, it is a crap ton of tricep but also more core because you have to work so hard to stabilize everything.

Wednesday February 15

Squat
bar-10
115-5
155-3
185-2
205-1
225-8x1 add belt
225-3

MP
bar-5
65-3
80-7x1
80-3

Last week I did triples with 75. This lift taps out very quickly for me.

Bench
bar-10
95-3
110-8x1

BB row
135-3x10

HLR
3x10

Push up DB rows
25-4x5/side

This is another one of BBs finishers. After a good training day for him, he found it harder than I did.

We have one more day raw in this cycle then it’s a week of suit bottoms/loose shirt lifting. After that it’s back to raw. However, on the weekend we are starting a Coan/Phillip deadlift cycle.

holy shit, for your size i think you squat better than I do. your row is also better, maybe outright.

I wish you were my neighbour so I could peak in your windows and watch you workout

Nice work going on in here… must be ol’ lady strength (lol!) love the flannel… hope to see you guys soon, miss the sexy BB lol!

I freaking love how you stay so arched even when you’re fighting for a rep.

x2 on the arch

Friday, February 17

squat - warm up for deadlift
135-2x5

deadlift
135-5
185-3
225-2
265-7x1
265-6 touch and go. All the singles were hook grip but I switched to mix for the reps. Last week when we were pulling off boxes, I got a monster blood blister that came off during the week and I thought the new skin was all good. I guess it wasn’t because I tore my hand up a bit when the weight got heavier.

Zerchers
135-5 paused
155-5 paused
175-5 paused
175-5 normal

jm press
bar-10
55-3x10

fall outs
1x15
2x15 plus 25bls

push ups (contest sets of ten until I tapped out)
16x10

I’ll probably cry later for that one.

I think that just happens when I stall and try really hard to drive my elbows forward.

I think I need to start doing rack starts to help with that sticking point.

That’s right. I’m chock full of old lady strength. Thanks on the flannel. I felt super Canadian. I should have put a beaver on my head.

No, I am going to cry. I am a man who weighs more than you and those deadlift numbers are starting to scare me. Granted I am coming back from an old hamstring strain but fuck it you doing all that work at 265lbs is awesome.

O, you are so inspiring to me. And smart. And zerchers. FUCK OFF.

Never fails when I stop in here i learn stuff…you mean rack starts for sq? as in you climb under, sorta like a anderson squat in reverse?
