I just want to increase overall strength for my size. Right now maxing bench at 315 X 5, deadlift 450 X 3, and squat 500 x 5. I’m really into military, hence, while maintaining this weight I want to complete half-marathons at an airborne shuffle pace - 9 min miles. At any rate, please rate and give any advice you can dish out. I’m a law student right now.
I get about a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. I occasionally do Crossfit to stay in military shape. I stick to compound movements, and cycle training regimens between strength training, and traditional bodybuilding. To be clear, I mean the rep schemes change in response to my goals.
I drink protein, take NO Shotgun, and tribulus from time to time.
I do several short runs a week. During a week I would do at least one long run 7 - 9 miles. On occasion I’ll do a ruckmarch with 50 - 60 pounds in my pack and walk it out up hills for several miles. I usually just get a feel for it you know. I can’t help but feel like I should be more quantitative about how things are done, or more scientific.
If he’s not planning on being a BBer why worry about what his legs look like, i asume if he squats 500 there in line with rest of build. Having feathered quads, and sweep isn’t going to help with any of his goals. Not being negative Bauber, because if anyone here can help him with strength goals it’s you. Just don’t see why it’s relivent, unless it’s his package you really want to look at : )

Haha I understand completely. I should have explained. Was curious to see wheel pics to get an idea of overall musculature. For strength purposes legs are extremely important. I know when I really started blasting legs - the rest of my body started advancing in overall strength. Was more to just assess weaknesses.
Not to mention he probably has some very developed wheels with 500 X 5 squat.

A legit 500x5 squat is pretty damn legit. Would give me a decent run for my money.

Ok, I’m jumping in. The dude is squatting 500x5= 565 single on a bad day so yes he has some wheels. Here’s the rub, he wants to run a 1/2 marathon at a 9 min. pace. I don’t care what anyone say, you cant serve two masters, not at that level. If he intends on running 20k and loading 500 on his back, something is going to give sooner or later.
There’s always exceptions to the rule, super humans that make the rest of sad, Op could be one. There’s no point in putting limitations on yourself, or your goals. The OP comes off like a newb, while he throws around elite numbers, and stats, love that. I’ve always believed most guys would be further ahead if they were left alone in the weight room, oblivious to any info other than what they discovered themselves. No dream routines, or sups to distract, just weights, and progression.
Anyway Op what ever your doing is working, and other than a couple freaks (bauber) on this site, your going to have a hard time finding many guys who posess the strength/endurance you have, and are after. I would just continue along the path you’ve been doing, and instead of posting questions, I have a feeling you should be answering them, lol, Goodluck
