Other than 1980 through today, no.
I don’t know. I’ve lived in NY and SC and experienced more single moms in less religious blue country. It’s a hard thing to get good data on. And my comment wasn’t just about couples. It start with what each individual values.
What’s worse in that scenario? A society with a lot of single moms or one that kills its inconvenient unborn? How do we get people to value family?
Achieving enlightenment and Nibbhana accomplishes this, though not every sentient being will get there.
