32 years old been doing overnight shift work for 5 years. Making no progress in the gym and finding it insanely difficult to lose fat.
Started focusing on weight loss around 305lbs a year and a half ago. I’m currently 250 and still fat but have a little muscle. 1 hour LISS cardio daily 2 days a week full body weight training. I literally can’t recover if I train too hard so I don’t overdo the weight training.
No issues with libido, energy is shitty.
I’m sorry for the screenshots I’m not exactly savvy at sharing this info another way.
I reached out to TRT Kingdom a TRT clinic owned by Jay Cutler and they analyzed my blood work. Immediately prescribed me with 200mg a week Test C and 2mg a week AI as well as 1MG day Testomorelin peptide (1200 bucks for 90 days) didn’t buy the peptides but I did order the Test.
I do understand and have read that this is a high dose to start with and I shouldn’t need an AI (maybe because I’m fat? I might need it?)
After reading so many horror stories of ED and other shit… I’m really just curious if it’s worth starting or not. I’m really aware that’s a my choice kind of question. But I’d be grateful for any and all information. My doctor prescribed me Levothyroxine for the TSH levels and I haven’t started that yet either.
Sorry if I’m asking in a stupid way or anything. All information is appreciated, it seems forums can be more educated than Endo doctors so I’m seeing what I can learn.
This cannot be overlooked. I could do it when I was young, but nearly had a nervous breakdown last year from being on overnights (I’m 39). Unless your job is very lucrative and only possible on night, maybe take a look around and see what’s available on days. Trying to work at night and be a normal human on off days always left me in a constant fog. I never really felt awake and had shit energy.
You lost 60 pounds in a year and a half, that’s great work dude! Did it just start to slow down? How tall are you? Hows your diet? How much sleep are you getting?
Yeah I’m making good money for the area and between mine and my wife’s schedule it’s kinda the only option with kids in school. but I do agree the night shift is the main culprit. But assuming I’m doing this for 15 more years or even 5. I’m pretty sure it’s not good for me to be at 150 test levels.
And I did have progress with weight loss but I had to cut my caloric intake to almost 1500-1700 calories a day to get this result. My metabolism is absolutely shit. When I started overnights I was around 250 lbs also (5years ago) when I started nights. Slowly gained up to that 300+
I’m 6’1”
Diet is pretty solid considering I’m only getting 1500 to 1700 usually 1 Avocado white rice chicken/venison/beef and eggs/sausage. My diet isn’t perfect but 90% of the time it’s this.
And my sleep is pretty solid 8 hours sometimes 10 hours a day. The occasional 5-6 hour day once or twice a month but nothing crazy
And I work 7 days a week so my circadian rhythm is pretty solid I don’t do the bounce between day/night sleep
Thank you, I’ll start trying to find one. Would it be stupid of me to start doing 100MG a week ? Or 120, or should I completely avoid doing anything until I can see a Urologist ?
I just wanna avoid ED and potentially hurting my heart. I’m gonna guess if I just started 200MG a week and the AI it’s a terrible idea.
Yes terrible. None of this is your fault but you just happened on a sham clinic. Try Defy Medical out of Florida they do telemedicine. I’ve been with them a decade and before that also had a bad clinic and bad Endo.
I appreciate the recommendation, I’ll definitely reach out to them. I’m still not sure if I can just start with 100-120mg a week only test. From everything I’ve read that should be okay. It’s a blessing to be able to refer to people who have actually done this
