There was a useful idiot on BBC morning radio arguing Castro is, and remains, a hero to millions of Americans, especially African Americans.
I thought it was an incredibly dumb point considering how universally loathed he is among Cuban émigrés. Surely the Americans who have the closest proximity to him being the most hawkish about him is a strong indication that he is a grade A POS.
A caller on the show alleged all Cuban Americans were descended from Batista supporters. Christ, I hate my countrymen sometimes.

If he’s talking about equality, well Castro sure did get that right. Everybody not in his circle was forced to live in extreme poverty, white, black, yellow or purple. He didn’t care about skin color, if you didn’t live in his good graces, you lived in poverty.
My family there, lived in poverty. I actually have no idea what has happened to them. That’s how open that place was. I have cousins I have never met or even conversed with, one time.
Imagine living in a place, where your own currency is so worthless, that you cannot actually buy anything with it. American dollars is the currency in Cuba. Outside a bus ticket, the Cuban Peso bought you nothing. Well, I take that back, it would work in government stores, but those stores were empty most of the year. But when they had stuff, you could use the cuban peso to buy stuff with. It’s actually cheaper to wipe your ass with a cuban peso, than it is to buy toilet paper.

I’m surprised to be honest. Your other posts in the Tactical Life thread seem much more professional. Then here you are flying off the handle over something so fundamentally American.
First of all, you emphasized CHILD’S GAME. You literally just made a post where you wrote the names of T-Nation member handles on a missile that was apparently used in a drone strike (?). That blew my mind. That kind of symbolism is just insane to me. Innocent civilians or people incorrectly added to kill lists often end up on the other end of those drone strikes, and here you are having some fun with it. That’s far more disgraceful TO ME, than CK taking a knee. But i’m nobody, that’s just my opinion.
Secondly, you mention CK “PISSED on the graves of every man who had the courage to put on the uniform”. He actually didn’t. He, and others like him, are respectfully protesting, by taking a knee during the anthem. Some people burn flags, piss on flags, protest soldier’s funerals, or literally commit domestic terror attacks; he’s just taking a knee. Your outrage over something so fundamentally American is ridiculous. Meanwhile, we had corrupt & dishonorable politicians who actually put thousands of Americans in graves, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi’s in graves, and perhaps well over a million total around the globe due to the fall out from the Iraq war. They can apparently send people to the grave on falsified intelligence or corporate interests, or literally torture the enemy, and everyone is cool. To compound that, the country that sends them to war doesn’t adequately take care of them once they get back. But CK taking a knee? 
The world is dangerous, I get it. But thousands of American lives have been lost at the hands of disgraceful politicians with ulterior motives, many of which were draft dodgers, or never served, and/or don’t have any children who serve.
If anything, he metaphorically pissed on graves & those who fought for his right to vote, by simply not voting. Taking a knee during the anthem is absolutely nothing compared to not voting, that’s the real disgrace.

He had responded to a residence to investigate a protective order violation when he was shot. The subject who shot him had been released on bail on a felony charge earlier in the month

He had said multiple times that he has respected vets. Before he was sitting down but a special forces vet reccomended he take a knee.
I feel like most people are fake mad about this topic. They will tweet or write a status on facebook saying
“Colin kapernick is a piece of shit that doesn’t respect our vets”
Meanwhile the same people tweeting this would walk pass a homeless vet on the street and not give a fuck about them.
Just to point out.i respect military and law enforcement I have always been interested in working in these professions. But even I know for a fact there are some evil/racist people working in some of these departments across the nation.

We also got racist people. Had a cop recently assist me with my car last week when it died. Asked him if he has to deal with people calling the police because of suspicious behavior.
Dude told me a whole bunch of stories about people calling the police on African Americans who are just simply minding their business.
One story that that I distinctly remember well was about a man who was just fishing in the lake in his neighborhood. Dude was just chilling minding his business and someone called the police because of a suspicious African American male. Turns out that he guy lived there for like 5 years. It wasn’t the first time either. Cop felt embarrassed, he apologized for the trouble and they just joked about how racist some people were
Police brutality is committed by cops of all colors. Cops of all colors have shit people of a different or the same color. So if a black cop beats the hell out of a black man, is it racist? If a black cop shoots a white man, is it racist? And both those scenarios have happened.
The point I’m getting at is, if police brutality and shootings are, for the sake of argument, occurring at rates that show they are not isolated incidents by individuals but rather, they are a sign of some systemic issues, then is it racist or something else? Because, when Colin says the police shootings are all about black people getting shot, even though whites get shot as well, he is saying it is about racism which brings me back to the question about what is it when the cop is black?
As far as that virtue signaling award, pretty much any random teacher in the inner city should get one. If Colin really wanted to dedicate himself to finding a solution, he would go get his teaching credentials and try to make a positive impact on young people everyday instead of relying on symbols and social media.
If every white teacher left their job in the inner city. If every white cop, firefighter, EMT, left. Would things be better, or worse? Would there be a long line of black people willing to take those jobs? And that’s the point the sjws and race baiters avoid. None of them are becoming cops, few are becoming teachers, and even fewer are moving into those communities. Who do they fear and why? But god forbid we look at the communities because then all of us, including SJWs and members of the community, have to take a share of the blame for what those communities produce. It’s easier to just blame one group.
