This one is definitely made up. Even as obscure as this may be, it would have come out somehow.
Like everyone already knows that Hitler tried to make a living painting postcard-sized pictures before failing and turning to politics?
And I believe it’s spelled “Schickelgruber”.
At first I was thinking this couldn’t be true, but after the tongue story I had to look this one up. Whether TC got the coffee depends on how you intrepret the question.
According to brain-mind.com (http://www.brain-mind.com/Hitler2.html) Adolf Hitler’s father, Alois, changed the family name to Hitler prior to Adolf’s birth. Thus according the the brain-mind.com research, Adolf was born a “Hitler” and not a Schickelgruber. What was more interesting to me in reading this story is how Alois, at age 39, “adopted” a dead father, became the dead man’s legal heir and changed his name from Schickelgruber to Hiedler to Hitler.
Being an old geezer, I’ve heard/known that for years.
True.
His grandfather was Jewish and he hid that fact. Strange, for all the horrors he created, he was in part running away from his own past.
I think Hitler was actually his middle name if I recall.
