Hi Sic,
She is adorable. Reminds me of mine when they were born. My girls were also 8lbs plus babies. ttys
Trish
Y’know, Sic, it’s almost a bummer she’s a girl – I have a CRAPLOAD of baby boy stuff that Thomas has already outgrown! He’s 4 mos and already in 6-9 mo clothes.
How’s Little Miss doing these days? How’s mama? Are you getting enough rest? I still lay awake at night just looking at Thomas. So beautiful. ![]()
Has she smiled/grinned for you yet? Braddock grins after he’s burped.
Congratz, cute baby

Actually she wears a lot of little boy’s clothes… puppies and baseball themed outfits are some of her favorites. Yes I said “her favorites!” She doesn’t want to be a girly girl. ![]()
She’s almost a month now and not fitting her 0-3 mo. sized clothes. Her torso is just way too long. I’m getting onesies and pants to hopefully fix that problem! She’s over 24 inches long now.
I lay awake at night too, but I’m looking at her looking back at me.
She’s having a feeding frenzy right now and we’re basically nursing every hour on the hour. The only way I get her to sleep longer stretches is to keep her on my chest or snuggled by my side. I’m pretty exhausted this morning and frantically studying biology before I head to class. At least I can read while she nurses!

She’s been smiling for over a week now. She smiles when I pick her up and kiss her, make funny faces, tickle her, or sing. So I’m pretty sure it’s a real smile, not a gas or burp smile. ![]()
She’s also been laughing. It’s pretty funny cause she’ll usually do it when she’s falling asleep and her eyes are rolling back in her head. I’m pretty sure my child isn’t possessed but at 3 am you start to wonder… ![]()

I feel sorry for you guys, I’ve heard the little dude screaming when he gets put down for two seconds. I don’t know how you two deal with that on a daily basis!

Sleepy baby. ![]()

I put her down to get some exercise while I vacuumed. Apparently the soothing (lol) sound of the vacuum put her right to sleep. Unfortunately it didn’t work again the next day.

This is pretty grainy but you can still see the smile. I’ll try to get a better one next time we’re playing.

Excellent – I’ll look through his stuff and PM you for an address soon!

Thomas was on a nursing kick last night, too! Must be a growth spurt. That’s always my excuse. lol! ![]()
Did you end up buying a sling or something to carry her in? My sis in law swears by Moby Wrap.

The vacuum was about the only thing that worked for my first. Didn’t work for my second. Thankfully my first two can help with the third!
Love the pics! So cute!!!
Give her a big smooch from me :X
I’m almost 4 weeks post partum and I had my first day back at the gym today. I was so happy I wanted to cry. ![]()
The free weight section is about the size of half my apartment and exists in a downstairs dungeon. I think they are trying to keep it a secret so that people use the shiny machines upstairs instead.
I did facepulls, rotator cuff work, dumbbell bench, deadlifts and squats. My deads made me want to cry (3x10 @ 135). It’s rough to be using 100lbs less than last time!
I felt awesome though and I know I’ll be back in the swing of things in no time. I just have to focus on what I can do now, not what I did in the past or what I wish I could do. I don’t know that I’ll log my training here. I do expect to have a serious transformation from flabby stretch-marked mommy to MILF. Maybe I’ll just post befores and afters when I get there.
Unfortunately I had to join a Bally’s and will have to endure an hour session with a personal trainer that looks like my teenage brother. And what the hell is up with 3 year contracts? Are they insane? I have until May to decide if I want to stay with them before incurring the penalty cancellation fee. Greedy bastards.
Oh, and I also got laid last night so I’m now officially out of the post partum zone and back in my own body! Woohoo! =D

LOL welcome back, I take it you didn’t have a ton of stitches then.
3 years is crazy, do you HAVE to work with their PT as part of the deal?
Glad your back in the gym aand feeling good!
db
No, actually I had a ton of stitches because he cut me and I also tore. I haven’t had pain or soreness since I was 2 weeks post. I know it was probably a bit too soon… but I was horny! =D
No I don’t have to work with their PT, I just have to do one, 1 hour session with him. Something about teaching me how to use the machines and workout safely. I think I can teach him a thing or two though so I’m sort of looking forward to it. ![]()

Awesome, that’s really sweet of you Carrie. ![]()
I did buy a sling but she really doesn’t like it. She likes to be upright so she can see. Even if I try to carry her in my arms she isn’t happy when she’s not on my shoulder. I ended up getting a snuggli carrier. We’re going to try it out for the first time when she gets up from her nap this afternoon.
I like the snugli…my baby was pretty needy when she was a newborn… Wait a minute, she still is! I have shoulder issues from carrying her around all the time instead of using the snugli, lol…I got pretty darn good at carrying her and doing everything else with my other hand…my hubby went on deployment last year when she was just 7weeks old…
ERGO’s are supposed to rock too!
YEA for getting back in the gym!

I must admit that picture does give me the possessed vibe. She is cute though. I used to think babies were gross, then I started to like them, but I still do not like when they get older.
Beautiful baby. Sorry I didn’t see this thread sooner!
You’re going to be an amazing mother ![]()
