For the second year in a row, I’ve signed up to be a “shavee” to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s charity. They’re a volunteer-based organization that provides grants to over 230 institutions for laboratory and clinical research and helps to make clinical trials available to more children than ever.
Last year, participants like myself and those of you who chose to donate, helped St. Baldrick’s raise more than $28 million. It would be great if we could all be part of an even bigger fundraising season this year.
On March 24, I’ll be getting my head shaved in support of kids going through cancer treatment. Please help out by donating via this link:
Any help you can offer, either with a financial donation or by helping spread the link above, would be awesome.
St. Baldrick’s is a genuine, legitimate charity. They’ve been operating since 2000, and in that time they’ve raised over $114 million.

Thanks.
And I just wanted to say things are already moving along, and I’ve almost reached 10% of my goal. (The “goals” are, essentially, arbitrary. It’s all appreciated and needed).
If you can’t help out financially, please do me a favor and spread the word by posting this link on your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Orkut, Formspring, or whatever new social network page the cool kids are using nowadays:
Just wanted to report that donations are slowly, steadily, and thankfully, still coming in.
I’m getting shaved next Saturday, so there’s still time. (Actually, there’s always time to donate, even after the event.)
Wanna buy some good karma for the shenanigans you’re headed into tomorrow on St. Patty’s Day?
St. Baldrick’s has actually raised more than $17 million for children’s cancer research in 2012 already! How about helping to push that number even higher?
Getting shaved tomorrow afternoon. I should have video of the whole thing up by tomorrow night.
Don’t consider this last-minute desperation, but how about if I’ve ever given you a useful or funny or interesting or ridiculous bit of advice, you throw a dollar or three towards this great cause and help the kids:
