You misunderstood me. Girls thinking throwing a dress and drinking a cosmo in a vein attempt to emulate the characters from the movie and live their lives like that is annoying. Classless people trying to emulate/project what they interpret as class is tasteless.
Ive been up for a while studying so im definately not explaining this the best.

anyone who takes this kind of attitude needs to be sent to a concentration camp immediately, i was getting dragged to it this coming friday night but got out of it thank god.

too the guy that saw it was there atleast side boob in the movie?

From reading you guys’ reviews, I might check it out. But I might walk out within 10 minutes.

I’m still trying to get over the aftermath of Rocky 52 and Rambo 16.

You guys serially care about some chick movie?

The difference is we know Rambo and Rocky are fantasy. Most women think Sex and the City really fucking happened.

Are you guys going to whinge like this when something else “un-testosteronish” comes out… like the another disney movie? oh wait they have hot cartoon chicks…

i am sure women are sitting there thinking, “if i have to sit through another lame comic book turned into a movie…”

if you dont like it, dont go see it.

I don’t know. The way some of you guys talk about your movies I do wonder sometimes.

Why? Because women will talk about movies they like with the same enthusiasm in which some of you men discuss the movies you like.

Women think that you guys believe that Rambo is a real dude.

Yes, but not because it’s a chick movie. My issue is this. I like watching all movies, even chick flicks. However, a movie like this only has an appeal to fans of the show. Since I never watched the show, I can’t get into the movie.

I’d feel the same about any movie based on a TV show that I wasn’t a fan of.

Well if no one else will say it I will!! Rambo is REAL!! It was him not Reagan that ended the Cold War. Rocky WAS the champ!! And if I cant live in a country where billionaire geniuses can be super-heroes then I dont think I want to live!

Some one posted a thread about getting married and Ill tell you all the same thing about this movie that I told him…

HELL NO WE WONT GO!! HELL NO WE WONT GO!!

No, I get what you’re saying. People that are really only acting like that cause of the movie are pretty cheesy.

Sex and the City basically happened. Still happens. I know plenty of women in New York who are similar to the characters. Similar lives, similar situations. Similar. That’s not necessarily a good thing…Obviously, it’s tv. And some exaggeration’s going to go on for entertainment value. But it’s pretty grounded in reality. HBO did a pretty good job at capturing a slice of life like they usually do. I personally prefer other slices of life. But really wasn’t too bad a show.

No, you misunderstood my point. I didn’t say I didn’t have any interest in it. I said I like watching all movies. This includes chick flicks. However, I can’t enjoy this movie, as I’m not familiar with the source material.

Are you saying this is a movie that I could watch and enjoy not having any real knowledge about the series it was based on? Or do you need to have been a fan of the show in order to get the references?

As I said, I’d feel the same about any movie based on a TV show that I wasn’t a fan of.

There are women making this “girl’s night out” all over the country. I’ve never even watched an episode, but it is clearly crack to most women between 22 and 35.

And like crack, it will devastate the country. Think of the consequences. When I stand in line for Iron Man 2 or the Thor movie, I’ll have 10 cackling women in front of me buying tickets for Sex and the City 2: Girl’s Night Out

LOL, this reminds me of when Broke Back Mountain came out. I was going to see A History of Violence and apparently Broke Back had just come to town and the entire gay community was in line outside the theater with me. I remember there was this 6’ 6" 350lbs. samoan guy in front of me, with the sweetest little voice. When I got to the window I said “One for A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE” a little too loud, to announce that I was there to see titties, motherfuckers getting killed, and other heterosexual stuff.
Hahahaha! Classic!

It’s not like it really affects most guys all that much, so I don’t see the big deal about a movie dethroning another movie with an old 60-year old man in it. So what, women movies about other drunk New Yawk women. I’m sure someone is saying “That Bigger, Stronger, Faster movie is going to be a stupid movie about meatheads. How many damn sequels do you think that’ll have?”

.

I would rather take a 12-gauge to the abdomen than watch “Sex and the City”. But whatever, at least the women going to see this are boosting the economy.

As for the “Bigger, Strong, Faster” movie, I’m not even sure if I want to see it, I feel like it’s just going to be full of misinformation and stereotypes that are just going to piss me off.

I mean, they have Greg Valentino being interviewed in it. I’m sure he’s going to shine a wonderfully bright light on the world of bodybuilding.
I think you’re pretty far off base here. I know the guys doing it and I’m sure they’re going to give a good, balanced perspective.

Why do you women always do this? Everything we men try to do, you women come in and kick out our feet from under us. We try having a civilized discussion and you come in with your estrogen flaring, screaming about “Sex and the City is great, why can’t you be like us, drink more cosmopolitans, etc.” Seriously, stop it. You take everything else away from us…let us have this.

Do you even know how hypocritcal this is? Okay, let me preface by saying I DON’T ENJOY SEX AND THE CITY AT ALL. That being said, why do you give a shit about the movie?

If you’re not a fan of the show, not going to watch the movie, and it’s never going to personally affect you, what’s your dilemma? Let the women have their movie, don’t take that away from them.

Seriously, this thread should have never even been started.

Well, I thought the topic was how Sex in the City made women crazy… or something like that. No, I doubt if you would like the movie. I never watched the series either, so I also would probably not enjoy the movie as well.

Damn Right!! They should only make movies that target Vaders and my demographic and nothing else!!
