This seems like a straw-man marketing tactic. Are there really that many people that get berated in the gym for being out of shape? I never saw it when I went to a gym, I did see a huge 400 lb.+ guy in there one time, but no one went up to him and berated him. I was actually kind of rooting for him, I hoped he lost weight and got in shape, he looked like a half-step away from his heart exploding.
LOL. I have NEVER even seen someone laugh at a fat person in a gym. Youâre right, it is marketing bullshit. Every skinny teenager was a little intimidated when they first walked in a gym, especially if you started in the early 90âs or before then and the gym was actually filled with big fuckers who were lifting more than you weigh.
No one today even has an excuse because 80% of the people in most gyms all day long are out of shape and UNmuscular.
I get judged more by little skinny/fat people than I have ever seen happen in reverse. Most bigger guys are the first to help you out IF YOU ARE SERIOUS yourself and not just fucking around.
Ok, I emailed the gym saying I recently moved up to be a student at the University of Alabama. I previously was from florida, and had gone to a PF with my mom and really enjoyed the atmosphere there. I was looking for a place where I could work out that didnât have all the college jocks running around and making me uncomfortable. Both my roommate and I were hoping to workout once at the PF here to see if itâs what we liked.
haha, iâll let you guys know whatâs up. the only problem with having two people film is iâd need to figure out how to get another person inside. i guess i could always have the 2nd camerea and run up to people and film reaction shots.
We could just set the camera in a corner or something to get a shot of whatever goes downâŠI mean, surely this place canât be huge.

If we make it to the second set, Iâll chalk up and then throw it in the air a la Labron. One on Slaughter and one on Anderson, according to their website.

I can just picture you two, being dragged out by a dozen PF employees (or copsâŠ) screaming âWAIT! I need to grab my camera⊠Itâs in the corner!â

Dude, please, PLEASE yell (at the top of your lungs):
âEverybody wanna be a bodybuilder but ainât nobody wanna lift no heavy ass weight!!!â
LOL gotta scream that on the way out. And as others have said go in with the sweats on. Then after your set tear your sweater off and throw it across the gym as you flex and grunt. Bonus points for chest bumping the camera man.
Does the lunk alarm go off just because of people grunting or is it from people dropping non bumper plates? Either way, thatâs pretty anal.
If I was a gym owner I might feel diferently about the weight dropping, but from my experience unless someones foot is under there or something, droppin BBâs and such is usually pretty harmless.

Here is a novel idea guys, just donât train there. There many people who are intimidated by the gym, this might be a good place for them. They do not cater to bodybuilders, donât go, problem solved.
Thatâs just not funny though. Itâs got to be funny.

Mason, this idea has become way too big to half ass it. You guys gotta get a third person in there for covert video purposes.

Quick hijack.
RRJC, your new avitar vid is very cool. I especially like it because from the looks of the guy, I could tell anyone, even my own mom, that itâs me doing the flip.

True, but I think it would be funnier with the camera hidden, whether somone is holding it out of view or itâs placed out of view. If people see the camera, theyâll know exactly what weâre doing, which would be less funny.

Yeah, no way should the camera be out in the open.
Iâve seen guys at my local pF benching over 405 pounds and never set off a lunk alarmâŠIDK ive also heard of dudes in NY getting the cops called on emâŠEvery gym has their rules some more strict then others I guess
