Lets break this down simply:
-Being caught for a minor offense by a cop and then subsequently being disrespectful = Paying bigger fine/and or more jail time + possible merciless beating.
-Being caught for minor offense by a cop and then respectfully complying = Slap on the wrist, getting off.
I’m in favour for the law being violent. There is nothing wrong with the occassional merciless beating if the guy deserves it.
I particularly like the laws of Saudi Arabia. Steal something = getting hand cut off. Kill someone = getting head cut off. Needless to say, they have one of the lowest crime rates in the world.
My cousin works in Saudi Arabia and happened to leave his wallet in a taxi. The taxi driver went out of his way to locate him and return the wallet for fear of being reported and getting punished. The locals will also allow Europeans and westeners to be “locked in” to a shop or restaraunt during prayer time. I’d like to see someone try that anywhere else, the store would be robbed clean.

Who knew being black was just like being part of an ORGANIZATION with one mission.
The issue people have with police is NOT just with the few bad apples. It is also with THE INSTITUTION that protects these people and hides them…which obviously means there may be some good cops…but they would also have to be turning a blind eye to the bad pones otherwise we wouldn’t be having this growing issue.

All black people do not share the same mission.

I never said vein black was the same as being a cop with a badge. I did say that the thought process of “F cops!” and “F black people” were both dumb and dangerous ways of thinking.
I included religion in my comment as well because I think that is a more accurate comparison to the police force. Should we have the attitude of “F Muslims!” because of 9/11 or other terrorist attacks? Are all Muslims now terrible?
Also, no one ever said being black was now an occupation. Please stick to the facts and don’t try to put words in other people’s mouths. That’s why we can never have a normal conversation on this site for more than a page.
My only contention is that people can choose to be cops and choose their religion. You can’t choose to be black. I believe a sweeping generalization can be made about cops because of widespread corruption and incompetence.
There is a huge difference in not liking a guy because he’s a cop versus not liking a guy because he’s black. They’re both prejudices, only one of them isn’t also racist. Also, genuinely good people can quit their job as policemen. You can’t just quit being black (Michael jackson excepted)

I am military. This was drilled into us from day one. When in uniform, you represent all soldiers as well as this country.
