Really, the only thing I’d ask about your plan is how much stuff do you and she say have that will travel with you at all times? I’m assuming that you’d be getting furnished places where you move to, and would be renting things such as televisions and other appliances? How much of a pain will it be for you and your wife to really pack everything “permanent” up, and ship it overseas every year?
I’d recommend living in rural Germany if you pick there for a year. Not necessarily the boonies, but far enough out to really get to enjoy the real country, and it’s not very hard at all to hop a train to a major city.
We have very little stuff…when I pick up and move I’ll probably take nothing but She Say and pictures of the kids…haven’t thought about this part too much…I’m thinking now we’ll limit it to 3-4 boxes each of junk…standard copier paper sized boxes…actually…my wardrobe is pretty snazzy as most of you know…so mayber I’ll get like some big trunks to carry my clothes and She Say’s sex toys.

Oh, what kind of sex toys? If PMPM already has pool girl, I want to be a drink fetcher.
Similar to my plan, only I intend to live on a 40’ - 50’ sail boat (luxury sailing yacht). If you decide to spend a year or two inland, you can always store her “on the hard” for a nominal rate.
Slip fees for that footage around the world are usually less than six or seven hundred a month, including everything.
If you and she-say are indulging in the swinging lifestyle, having a boat is a GREAT way to “break the ice” with some young, hot, nubile thing…
With a good size boat like that you can configure it up to four or five cabins or a master cabin in the bow or stern and two on the other side for guests (or she-say’s closet when there are no guests, LOL).
The cruising lifestyle is not for everyone, but it’s definitely a cool way to spend a few years if you want to see the world. You’d have to learn how to sail, of course.
At any rate, it sounds like a good plan! I hope you have some great adventures…
My girlfriend reminded me another thing that you might want to look into…
You’re going to need to get a Visa in every country you’re going to live in, which could be a HUGE hassle. That’s something you’re going to want to find out about before you start planning where to live.
Well, if you live in Wales now, you probably want to retire in places that offer a different type of climate and landscape.
I’m thinking tropical - like a South Seas island or somewhere in the Caribbean. Maybe also something rather rocky and arid, like parts of Australia, or the American Southwest, or maybe Namibia, where you could buy cheap and hobnob with people like Brangelia (which would actually be a minus for me).
I’ve got to starts saving my money too, as I’m only about 25 years from retirement. I want to have at least enough to build a pool and then get into a bidding war with you for PMPM’s pool girl services. I have a feeling she charges a lot, but the sparkling clear results are worth it.

Good advice…let me know what I can do to, I mean for, your gf to thank her properly.

This sounds awesome also…but I’d end up sinking the damn thing I’m sure…also get to feeling cooped up easily…we’ll keep in touch though and be bffs and I’ll throw out the welcome mat when your sloop is in town in return for me getting to pretend I’m the Captain when we’re on the water with nubile native women-folk.

English major right? What the fuck are you doing that enables you to save 16k a year and raise 3 kids?
Also have an MBA in finance. I have an overpaying, underdemanding job with a gummint organization that allows me a lot of free time to make money doing things I like…running youth sports camps, giving music lessons, directing and starring in hetero porn movies…

I’m interested in one of your services, can you guess which one?

Assuming I live 20 years after I retire I need 20 places to live. I’m thinking so far:
New York City
Northern California
Rural Germany
Somewhere in South America
Somewhere in Maine
Suggestions?

Southeast Asia. I would prefer a beach somewhere in Indonesia, Lombok might still not be over-developed. Or maybe whatever island is east of there. But depending on what you want, there’s a ton of diversity. Singapore is pretty swank, Cambodia is … not.
Australia off the great barrier reef would be fun, if you can handle living in the sub-tropics. I’d dive every week, and do a liveaboard for a week every month. And you’d have easi(er) access to sydney, darwin, uluru … oh, man, go to adelaide. I thoguht that place kicked ass. This small, quiet little city with a mid century european feel in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by major cities that look like every other major city on the face of the earth.
I’ve also always wanted to go to hawaii, and on a safari, so that’s what I’d be thinking.
