What is the legislation/customs like shipping a few 1ml amps of testosterone prop to the USA ahead of arrival to a residential address? Is it likely to get picked up and witheld?

Highly unlikely to get picked up and withheld but it’s not outside the realm of possibilities.

Yes it is self-prescribed TRT. I don’t need to purchase it as I already have enough, I just need to ship it over to an address (not PO Box)

So it can be done, many people import gear internationally. However there is a risk of getting caught (typically you will get a seizure letter from customs) don’t sign it and you should be ok, just accept the fact that you lost the delivery.
Typically law enforcement will try go after suppliers, they couldn’t give a shit about one dude importing a smidge of gear for personal use, there’s bigger fish to fry. If you happen to get unlucky and law enforcement has nothing better to do you could get into trouble, however it’s a risk anyone who uses AAS illigally takes. Send it in a fake name therefore if you do actually get caught just say it wasn’t you and you don’t know how or why the package was sent to your address, for all you know an especially harsh thunderstorm hit and the wind caused some gear to fall into a parcel at some UGL before the package was whipped off the ground by a phat tornado and the parcel passed a factory known for producing lots of ink, and then the ink wrote your address and the parcel flew to the post office undetected.
Make sure to pack the amps nicely. Don’t want your product breaking during transport, also liquid leaking out of a package is preeeeeeettty good grounds to warrant a package inspection.
Safest way to do what you want to accomplish is to just order domestically in the US, domestic packages very rarely get seized. (try confirm with supplier that they don’t keep records of transactions)

If you’re ok with UGL grade gear it won’t be hard to get hooked up in the US of A. Pharm grade is harder to acquire, but not impossible, one just needs to know where to look.
