Semantics and Superiority

I cant be bothered to read my own landslide of a thread. Could someone update me on how we got so specifically on the subject of RN’s?

Dude brought it up earlier in the thread in reference to a discussion we had months ago. I just saw it and had to laugh because his version of what happened and what actually happened are different.

It’s all in the Beta Orbit thread around April.

Most LPNs go through a 1-2 year nursing program at a college.

I had to go back and look at it.

Yes, I’m familiar with the type

Bro, you and your buddies have egg on your face. I just posted better references to the median salary of RNs, which I was talking about clearly in my original posts, and then you want to talk about starting salaries, ok fine, starting salaries by most sites are referencing 50-60k

No where near the initial 44k you and you pals in here championed up and down. 44k for a fucking LPN which can be had through a certification program that does not require a 4 year college degree from a university or nursing program. And hell for arguments sake even if we were talking about LPNs, my god 44k for a little dinky certificate? That makes my original argument even stronger. Think of all these dudes lifting boxes for a living making barely 14 dollars an hour.

lol

This is getting ridiculous.

I said $28-$50k for RNs in the original thread. It’s right there in black and white. The internet doesn’t reset each night.

It doesn’t, but whatever…

Um? coming out of school making 60, 70 which they do, a lot of them do. Not everyone, but a lot of them do, especially where I’m from. This wasn’t some insane number and yet you threw that 44k as if I was totally off base. That’s what people in here keep repeating, as if I threw out some crazy ass number. Even if you said 28-50k you’re more wrong than I am lol.

And nothing I said in that paragraph is radical. Normal women pass nursing school all the time, I see it. I. know them. It’s not that hard. Again, they’re not bottom barrel levels of stupid, but they aren’t also any brighter than average American, at least not in my opinion.

And my mind always defaults to when I came out of school, when I came out normal graduates were getting hammered while the medical field stayed strong. . You said truck drivers can make overtime pay ruching in the 6 figures right? was it drivers? I don’t remember but those jobs are going to be going away. A lot of male oriented jobs are shrinking. That was kind of the basis of my entire point.

This is what you and your dumbass friends in here were going off about
Get egg on your face and move on bro.

The median salary is 73k. I posted below that haha

^This statement is just as true.

We don’t know where that is, but it’s not representative of the US.

$80k is like 160% of $50k. That’s a huge difference.

Best case, it’s plain inaccurate in order to try and make your point.

2% of women in the US are nurses. 2 fucking percent.

:+1:

Your mind defaults to your experience even though you don’t ever talk about your personal experience.

Shocking.

Forktruck drivers and, ya, they’re probably going away at some point in the near to mid term. So are a lot of jobs at retailers. Guess which gender dominates these fields?

Flawed basis. A lot of low-skill jobs are going away and it’ll impact both genders a lot.

Gettin awful personal, bro. Warming up so you can play the victim card without hurting yourself this afternoon?

Smh…

Guy literally wrote “instantly making 60,70, and sometimes 80k dollars” and “guys starting out with normal undergrad degrees…” and now wants to act like we were talking about the national average for RNs and “normal” degrees whatever that means.

I can’t help but think about my choice at the gas station. Stand around talking about beer in unproductive and subjective terms with some hipster, or…

Get the fuck out of there so I can go home and enjoy my two beers without engaging with some beer snob.

Easy choice for me. Shut up and drink.

Can’t drink at work, unfortunately.

Meh. Semantics.
