SARMs: waste of money or totally worth It?

The Rise of Substitute Steroids

SARMs are growing in popularity, but are they safe and effective? Here's the answer.

It sounds like a good idea: use substances that give you a steroid-like effect without having to use actual steroids. Problem is, at safe dosages, the effects aren't that great, and at higher dosages, the side effects are similar to what you'd get with steroid use.

The Bullet Points

  • SARMS (selective androgen receptor modulators) are becoming popular because they're not entirely illegal. But they're essentially doing the same things as steroids.
  • They're somewhat of a gateway to steroids because they're used for the same purpose, but SARMs are less effective.
  • It's a weak product at the dosages most often recommended.
  • If you increase the dosage to get the same effects as you would with actual steroids, you may end up experiencing just as many negative side effects.
  • If you choose to use SARMs, you've already made the decision to seek pharmaceutical help, but you may be let down by the lack of benefits.

Have you ever used SARMā€™s? Anecdotal evidence and reviews from userā€™s seem to disagree with every bullet point posted here.

I would agree. I never considered taking them due to the lack of knowledge via long term side effects. From what I gather they provide less benefit than actual anabolics with all the same side effects. Plus with anabolics we have decades of evidence to the true risks. IMO, SARMS ā€¦ meh.

So you have never taken them and you conclude they donā€™t work?

Thats what I said isnā€™t it?

Iā€™ve never done a lot of things that I have researched but still know about. Make sense? I never said they ā€œdonā€™t workā€.

See ā€œless benefitā€ not ā€œzero benefitā€. There are a lot of anecdotal reports along with minimal research concluding the same.

Iā€™m an engineer and Iā€™ve studied a lot of things Iā€™ve never participated in the manufacturing and design of. Does that mean I donā€™t know ā€˜aboutā€™ them?

Its ok to agree to disagree. We can all have or own opinions.

No, but you said they provide less benefits with the same side effects, thatā€™s simply incorrect. I am not here to argue, I am not pro SARMS or against them, to each his own. I have a great respect for CT and many of his philosophies, but I find this generalization of SARMā€™s to be inaccurate based on my own experience and knowing people who have used them.
To your ā€œstudiedā€ comment, true, it does not mean you donā€™t know about things. But I would say that having real world experience is much better than reading/researching about something. My opinion, and you have yours.

I will still disagree about your first statement, but I can live with that. Have a good one!

Yes sir, itā€™s okay to disagree. Impressive physique by the way.
