Sarah Palin Interview with Katie Couric

I didn’t just consider Obama’s and McCain’s past voting record, I also consider their plans for the future.

Maybe a lot of people my age don’t vote, but even people not my age who voted republican in the past are voting for Obama this time. My stepdad and mom being two of them.

They both voted for Bush both terms, and they’re both well into the range that Obama wants to increase taxes on. But I guess they feel that other issues such as getting America’s international respect back and investing in renewable energy are important.

My dad is also voting Obama this year, and he’s been republican/independent for a long time. He voted Perot a while back, and Bush his first term. Also, as a former east cleveland cop, he’s dealt with a ton of black criminals, and being able to vote for a black guy is a pretty big step for him.

Anyway, you’re republican and obviously you just love to spit hatred at anyone who isn’t, so I’ll leave you to it. I think it shows a low level of maturity and intelligence when you can’t talk about two presidential candidates without resorting to name calling and telling people to shut up. Last I checked you don’t own this message board.

Also, I don’t know where you got your poll numbers from, but I got mine here (at the very end of the article are the hard numbers):

I asked you a question junior, I’ll repeat it because I know you’re a bit slow.

Give me one piece of legislation that Obama was behind in his 143 days in the US Senate that would make someone like you want to make him President.

Now if you can’t answer that question hit the streets kid because you’re just like all the other starry eyed fucked up 20 somethings who have swallowed the “change” mantra like it means something.

Seriously, I ask this of anyone, why should we take a chance on someone who has ZIP for experience and has the most liberal voting record in the US Senate. On top of that (which is enough to not vote for him) what’s up with this 20 year relationship with an obvious racist like Rev. Wright?

There is absofuckinglutely NOTHING to like about Obama.

Hell, I thought it was even funnier, especially when she embedded things that Falin actually said in her answers.

She looks like Carl Lewis. Maybe she has a nice body, I wouldn’t know as I can’t get past her fucked up face.

Agreed. Michelle Obama ain’t hot…

His wife is a mut but he does have nice teeth. McCain needs a whitening.

Doesn’t seem to have any tits. The tit to ass ratio is way off.

Moving along from Michelle’s aesthetic attributes (or lack thereof), and into the new interview with Couric:

She doesn’t do well at all on the defensive.

Joe is his own worst enemy.

Very nice at turning the original topic around. Were Katie Couric’s questions fair? Are they questions that should be asked of a Vice President?

Are liberals generally slow? Is it that they don’t like the truth shoved down their throat repeatedly? Or…is it something else?

WHEN WILL OBAMA EVER BE ASKED TOUGH QUESTIONS BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA?

Now…I know that answer to that question, do you? I bet you do you’re a bright guy.

Please explain, what truth, liberals aren’t digesting?

If it is the questioning from mainstream media, did you watch the O’Reilly videos? He was leading the interviewee, and stating his opinions or actually telling Obama how he is going to handle foreign affairs in office.

It was ridiculously unfair and Obama kept his composure and gave eloquent well thought out answers.

Please, just tell me directly that I am wrong about this.

First of all O’Reilly is NOT part of the mainstream media.
Secondly, I can only ask this again:

WHEN WILL OBAMA EVER BE ASKED TOUGH QUESTIONS BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA?

I already listed many in the mainstream media.

By the way how many gaffs do you think Biden should be allowed before someone from the mainstream media point out that he’s not a good candidate?

If Palin made that many mistakes they would be all over her…not in a good way.

Palin’s made 10x the gaffes Biden has made.

Why do you play the part of the typical liberal stooge? You should really stop it.

I’ll rephrase your line for you “Palin’s gaffes have been reported 10x more than Biden’s.”

From calling Obama “Barack America”

Claiming Hillary would have been a better pick.

Asking a paraplegic to stand up.

Stating why "he’s running for President (not Vice President).

In Fort Myers he stated “In the Biden administration” Of course it would be an Obama administration.

Claiming in a Katie Couric interview that President FDR spoke on TV in 1929…FDR was not President and there were no TV’s in 1929.

What does he think of Obama? “I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and nice-looking guy.”

But what does he think of other minorities?

“You can’t go to a 7-eleven or a Dunkin Dounuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”

In short, Biden is a joke, even the LA Times describes him as “Biden is a barrel of gaffes” recently.

Newsday dubbed him “gaffe-a-minute Joe.”

Biden has many, many more gaffes than Palin. But the liberal media is just not quite as interested for some reason…
Oh COME on. Biden’s gaffes are beyond insignificant. Slips of the tongue. Confusions over the date. Political incorrectness. Show me some SUBSTANTIVE ‘gaffes’ about any issues that matter. Then we can talk. But you won’t be able too. Like I said, gaffe is not the word with Palin. Ignorance, failure to comprehend, and fundamental confusion is what her public statements and interviews exhibit.

Agreed. It may cost him the debate.

The point is, if anyone else (read not on the Obama campaign)made the same mistakes we would all be very aware of them. Biden has said some unbelievable things and no one is calling him on them. Hillary was lambasted (rightfully so) on her sniper fire comments. Joe made the same type of comments and has not been called on it. I don’t want someone in the VP spot that is going to continuously put his foot in his mouth and make up stories. One comment by itself doesn’t tell us much but his collection of comments is concerning. You just can’t have a loose cannon like that as the VP.

I am alse concerned about Palin and I think the press is justified in going after her. I want them to do this for both candidates and thier running mates. This is just not happening. MSM has taken a hands off approach to anything negative in the Obama camp. This is not journalism.

The media, particularly MSM, should call Biden out more than it does. But the media’s not really trashing Palin for her answers, except maybe the Gibson interview which was not particularly fair. She’s just being asked questions. The answers speak for themselves. Political commentators should be talking more about Biden. And it’s probably not happening because many in the news business would like to see Obama in the White House. But his statements are out there. They also speak for themselves.

d:

Are you saying that the public has not been made aware of Biden’s flubs and gaffs?

He had to drop out of his Presidential Campaign because the press made him fess-up; and his campaign events even now are filled with a press ready and willing to report his latest “foot-in-mouth” misstep.

Good point.
Mick28 wrote:
I didn’t even mention the speech that Biden stole 20 years ago when he was running for President. That’s not a gaffe though is it? That’s just outright dishonesty. But, somehow the press doesn’t mention that huh? Now if Palin had done something like that it would be front page news. Her character would be called into question, as it should.

But…old Joe gets another free pass from the liberal media.
No, if Palin did that I don’t think it would get much press coverage. Given the sparse coverage of her long support of the Bridge to Nowhere and questionable record which does not reflect a fiscally conservative reformer who has fought against pork. Or effective managment of Wasilla. I’ve conceded that Obama and Biden both have plenty of failings. How any McCain supporters could still defend Palin baffles me and defies believe. I can’t even discuss it anymore.

Different words. Same message. If it makes you happy, I’ll concede the point. It’s no departure from what I ever was thinking originally.
