ok, thank you @julenissen

Thinking about purchasing 531 for krypteia purely (willing to buy if you’re selling). How are the assistance movements determined? Not sure what he calls these. But Im referring to the supersets with DBSL DLs, DB squats, etc. Are these his recommendations or is it one of those things that dont rly matter? Are these movements changed up?

@kyle_eng The assistanse is specified, yes. I have done minor tweaks with the reps per set because I’m not strong enough to meet the prescribed amount, but did not want to change to the alternative exercises he suggested.

Every workout has 3 exercises, one main lift and 2 assist. They do not change, but the squat and dead has the same two and the bench two other. (Press is left out from phase II)

I recommend the book. The Krypteia has been great for me so far. Starting the last phase next week.

Thanks very helpful. Does he go in detail about in season training regarding krypteia?

Also, you have quite a list of training here. When does Krypteia start?

Not as far as I know. I can take a second look later today.

May 29th.
Prior to that date you can see a lot of stupidity.

Wendler said that he uses a modified version of Krypteia in season.

I’m not sure if it is stated in the book, but I would assume he would do so since he likes teaching his audience how to program.

And I’ll check Krypteia from the beginning lol. Thank you.

Quote from the book: “If you can’t do the program don’t change it”. There was something about athletes regarding jumps and throws and a bit about running/conditioning. Nothing regarding the lifting part of the program as far as I could seee.

Awesome ok thank you. My last post got edited by the mods, but Wendler did an AMA on a certain website, and said he modifies Krypteia for athletes in-season. i guess he doesnt specifically state it in the book. And you dont do any jumps/throws?

Also are you willing to sell your book? Im waiting for kindle version, but if that doesnt come out in the next month, id buy the book

Maybe you’ll get some info on the in-season version from the 531 forum. I’ve done jumps when I remember it, but I can’t throw because I’ll wake the kids… I’ve done alternative explosive stuff though, but I haven’t been consistent. Neither have I done any regular conditioning, but my days are quite active with work and kids.

My copy of the book are not for sale, sorry. There’s to much fun inside

Krypteia part II done.
I should deload next week.
